Offensive/defensive ranks level off as the season goes on. Lots of statistical noise early in the year. Knicks briefly had the best defense early in the year too.

I don't think anyone ever took them seriously as championship contenders. OKC and SA would probably prefer to avoid them in the playoffs though.

They hardly exist any more, but the best pub servers were the ones that were plain vanilla. No stats, no noises, no mods, no infinite cash, etc. That quickly disappeared with the introduction of the shield.

I dumped hundreds of hours into that game during 1.3, 1.5, and 1.6. Played competitively, went to tournaments, etc.

Depends on the game. Crafting a script and watching the result can be more fun than manually playing the game.
