I've been trying to poke holes in suggestions. I have no holes to poke here.

CS1.6: Riot shield ruined public servers and the 1.6 update ruined de_inferno. The further nerfing of the AWP (additional weapon switch delay) was unnecessary and made the game less interesting.

Quake 3 was better and both suffered from a lack of popularity problem. If not enough people play it, it's harder to find a server, which makes it less fun to play.

Portal definitely could've been longer.

Too tedious to play without a guide

Very good list. I'm making it my goal to poke holes in suggestions, so here we go:

I have two words for you: "Hey! Listen!"

If this goes through and it becomes a 15 yard penalty for saying the N word during a game, wouldn't other races want to see the slurs they don't like banned? What about when the LBGT community wants words banned? Or when feminists want "bitch" or "pussy" banned? What about "retard"?

Yes, the amounts of money might be different, but you have access to everything in CS. And in 5 minutes when the map changes, you'll be on the same level as everyone else, even if you just bought the game and you're playing against people who have had it for 10 years. (Side note: 1.6 was the first version on Steam, so

CS was basically Half Life with real guns instead of fake ones.

I studied with a group of students from China, all from wealthy families. One girl was very proud of her Buick. She was shocked to find out that, in America, Buicks are old people cars.

If you were to get dropped into a random Call of Duty server with no idea what you were doing or where anything was, you'd probably wind up with a 1:3-5 K:D ratio.

Fantastic. Can we leave it alone now?

The realistic ones are a dime a dozen with a very small learning curve. No one makes fast paced shooters with a learning curve like Quake any more.

What you're describing is both unexpected and unintentional. Think about it: you are arguing that it is impossible to have consensual sex without intending for it to result in a pregnancy.

Might want to Google unintentional while you're on a word defining trip.

Am I the only one that dislikes realism in first person shooters?

Sounds like they're accurately portraying the thing they're lambasting then.

You're definition of unintentional doesn't make any sense.

I've only ever heard the parasite/host analogy brought up to support pro-choice arguments. Odd that this one is going the other direction.
