It feels like streaming shows just have an ironclad rule that they have to shove these cliffhangers into the closing scene of a season even if there’s no plot reason to include one. And instead of being shocking, they’re starting to feel routine and predictable.

I love a good cliffhanger, but if you try to force one,

And now the Dead Boy Detectives are getting a spinoff and I bet it gets more attention than its parent show.

I think they implied that the guy who the body belonged to was just magically rendered unconscious while Steve was piloting him? What a time for Wonder Woman to discover she has a coma fetish.

Not just bringing Steve back, but Quantum Leaping him into some poor rando who had no say in the deal. So when Steve and Wonder Woman have sex, she’s actually fucking the body of an unconscious man who could not give consent. It’s like the writers stayed up all night trying to figure out the most uncomfortable

Yeah, and Africa in general has this problem, as does the Middle East. A lot of Westerners are shocked when they learn that the Arab world has modern cities other than Dubai, and that Africa isn’t just a big jungle with some huts for people to live in.

Oh, like you guys are experts on what sort of accents they have on the moon.

Wandavision almost seemed designed to rack up writing award nominations (not just because it’s good, but because of how it shifted tone, format and genre from episode to episode while still maintaining a consistent “something is wrong” undercurrent, which is a hell of a writing trick) so I’m surprised that Loki got

That’s interesting because I found the Underground plot to just get more tedious with each passing season, and it’s pretty much the only part of the show I dislike. It feels like they keep rehashing poor Kay’s trauma over and over again because they can’t figure out what else to do with her. I understand that this

It seems to have a small but pretty dedicated community on Twitter. Every time a new episode dropped it would get a ton of love (and animated gifs) for a few hours, then it would be back to silence until the next episode.

You’d think with all the money Disney has they could have afforded to produce an extra 40 seconds of Miss Minutes animation for this speech. But then again they probably knew they weren’t going to win. Oh well, so long as Tara Strong is getting work.

Pffft, big deal. I always play video games sitting down.

That’s nothing. They animated 75% of AN ENTIRE MOVIE and then killed the whole thing, in part because it was too gay.

It made half a billion dollars during a pandemic, but tell yourself whatever makes you feel better.

They made 30 billion US dollars last year. Plenty of people who use it are already paying for it.

All this will do is annoy people who are paying for it with obnoxious overcomplicated messages, and get the people they shared their passwords with to either switch to Hulu or fire up bittorrent.

We HAD to cancel Glow because there’s a college student in Nevada who’s using his mom’s account instead of paying for his own!”

You’re not wrong. Turning Red almost feels like “Brave, but done correctly” to me. Still a story of a mother and daughter overcoming their differences while turning into magic animals, but unlike Brave, Turning Red has actual focus, coherent themes, consistently written characters, and it doesn’t just completely

The closest we got to gay content in that (otherwise excellent) movie was the scene at the party where Priya dances with the goth girl who she’s been making glances at for the entire movie, and her friends cheer her on (“get it, girl!”) before exchanging a knowing look.

It’s as vague as it gets but these are the kind

It recently came to light that the Disney higher ups have been forcing Pixar to remove nearly all queer content in their films ( https://gizmodo.com/pixar-disney-lgbtq-dont-say-gay-bill-backlash-1848634269 )

Bugs Bunny tried to warn us.
