Had Raikkonen won the race, he still would’ve been 20 points down. It didn’t cost him the title.

You’re right, the actual gap between Stroll and Ocon was 22 seconds at the last interval for those guys (Stroll wasn’t lapped, Ocon was). Before Stroll’s pitstop, the gap was 24s.

Jamie drove for Prema in Formula regional (basically, the 3rd tier of F3) last season. If you’re wondering why she’s back in the W Series, perhaps the fact that her three younger and less experienced teammates finished 1/2/3 in the championship with 340+ points each while she was one of the worst regulars with just 80

She’s last in this season’s W series, as she’s the only driver to have failed to score a point. Might have been worth mentioning.

Why would they have to buy Formula E? If F1 decides to go electric tomorrow, Formula E will cease to exist.

If recent Honda F1-history is anything to go by, Red Bull-Honda will miss out on the title this season and win it in 2022; when they’ll still have full Honda support but won’t carry the brand name anymore.

Totally understand your point, but here’s the issue with it:

Each power unit consists of a number of components. There’s a maximum number of new components that can be used for each season:

On the other hand, special liveries for home GP’s aren’t a guarantee for success:

Red Bull were often portrayed as the villain in their spat with Renault, but the lengths at which Honda will go to make this as smooth a transition as possible hopefully corrects that narrative. Meanwhile, Renault still can’t find a customer for their power units, and as much as they try to spin the story around that,

Sure they have. Just not in Nascar.

I believe the average F1 car is about 2.5 inches wider and between 1.5 / 2 feet longer.

Sabré Cook is 20th of 20 in the dreadful W Series; and she finished 40 seconds behind P2 in a gentleman drivers series in a Porsche. Let’s give her some funding.

Never gonna happen. First of all, that’s unenforcable. Second of all, you can’t define merit.

It’s quite rare for a shunt to cost an engine. Verstappen’s situation in Silverstone was quite an outlier in that sense.

He’s a clear number two, and he knew this coming into the season. But his qualifying performances have been really bad this season, which was sort of the big worry with him anyway. He’s never been a great qualifier and with the added pressure of being in a top car, he’s really faltered.

Also, money.

Not really. Alpine gave Guanyu Zhou an FP1 in Austria, and Alfa Romeo gave Pourchaire a shot in the post-Hungarian GP test. That’s about it.

Max didn’t drive from the back to P2. He drove from the back to P7 and then got lucky making a strategic call. By your logic, Bottas should’ve been second in the DOTD voting, even though his race was pretty embarrassing.

Red Bull didn’t make the call - Verstappen did.
