Without the tire failure a couple of races ago he’s comfortably ahead of Verstappen in the standings, we’re giving a bit too much credit to Max IMO.

To be fair, I’ve listened to people complain about F1 being boring since the ‘90s. It’s not more boring now than it was then, there are just more ways for people to express how they feel about it.

Turn 3 at RBR has a history in cars, too.

True, but perhaps the reason why Albon finds other overtaking spots is because he’s routinely racing cars he has no business being in a fight in. He’s been awful this season, they need to sort that out.

Yes, but also undeniable that 7 (soon to be 8) seasons in a dominant car is unprecedented. Lewis is an all-time great, for sure. But the numbers are especially skewed in his favor.

He did beat Nico.

Also a record: 7 consecutive seasons in the dominant car in F1. Never happened before.

Agreed on Stroll. He’s not my favorite driver but the negativety and jokes directed at him are at times way over the top. I think there’s something to be said for a rich kid who decides to bust his balls to make it in racing, as opposed to sitting on his ass and relying on his trust fund. I can remember the days of tru

Not quite. Carlos Slim started supporting Checo after he had dominated many national karting events for a few years. His sponsorship was the result of his success, not the cause.

Then surely you won’t mind naming a few names, I presume? Top talents that didn’t quite make it due to a lack of sponsorship?

Because nobody is critical of Lance Stroll?

You seem to be under the assumption that the few women currently in F1's feeder system are poor and have had to finance their own career, which is a gross misunderstanding as Jamie Chadwick’s family is loaded, Tatiana Calderon’s family keeps paying for seats she shouldn’t be even considered for year after year and

Out of the current 20 F1 drivers, only Stroll and Latifi have had to rely on major sponsorship to get the drives that brought them to F1.

A top racer won’t need much sponsorship, and will find top seats based on ability. It has absolutely nothing to do with gender.

There are tons of drivers that have talent, but can not get a handle on the business side of it and will never get that dream ride.

Another theory is that Vettel has historically thrived when his teammates are 35+ years old.

It’s still better than ‘Force India’.

Nico was suffering from some major blisters on his set, that’s why they pitted. You can say a lot about the Strolls, but they’ve never seemed to prioritize Lance over his teammates before. It also makes no sense on why they would give up a few extra (much needed) points just to save face for Lance.

Pressure or no pressure, if they don’t qualify for a Superlicense it ain’t happening.
