What’s your issue with the regulations? No snark, legitimately interested as to what was so bad that it made you leave?

Pol took himself out. I was baffled by the decision to penalize Zarco for it, thankfully the long lap didn’t hurt his result.

You sure you’re not confusing him with his brother?

Yeah, I’d love to see it, but I don’t see what would be in it for Vettel. His reputation has already taken a hit, and going up against Verstappen could make it a very, very painful season for Vettel.

I think it is, to be honest, since these kinds of excuses are never made for the Hamiltons, Alonsos and Verstappens of the world. The more likely explanation is that Vettel has, for the second time in his career, been exposed to not be quite as great as many people believed him to be.

The sad conclusion is that F1 drivers don’t move to Indycar by choice.

Given that the FIA distributes points for a driver’s performance in FE to maybe one day qualify for an F1 Superlicense, I’d say that’s inaccurate.

Ferrari is more important to F1 than Mercedes. It doesn’t matter if they get beaten by Mercedes year after year, as long as Ferrari knows its own value to F1, they can leverage it into the best deal they can get.

If that’s what other teams are thinking, then they should file a protest.

Yep, there’s a lot of “I don’t care or understand this, therefore nobody cares or understands this” going on.

No, teams can only protest at Grand Prix events.

If there’s one thing the German driver is able to do, it’s make the most out of a bad race

Teams don’t go against their own interests and sabotage a driver. He won’t be involved in any development briefings, and they might prioritize Leclerc strategy wise, but other than that he’ll get the same material as Leclerc does.

Calderon isn’t in F2 anymore, she’s doing Super Formula now, which is due to start later this month.

If they design a tyre that can last the entire race with ease then there wouldn’t be ‘optimal grip vs low grip’. They simply would be so freaking hard that they’d remain consistent throughout, as they did in 2005. We’d see races without pitstops.

Just because I want to see your reaction: did you know that Pirelli is bringing the C2 tyre to this weekend’s race as the hard compound, instead of the harder C1 from last weekend?

Perhaps Bradley should be made to watch the 2014 Russian GP over and over again until he comes to his senses.

Probably because he’s wrong.

The ‘no podium’ bullshit is getting really overbearing now. It’s a lazy jab used way too often in favor of actual analysis of his skills and achievements.

If they’d cancelled the season he wouldn’t have had a job.
