Star Wars Babies, they’ll make your... nightmares come true?

Disney owns Jim Henson Muppets so Star Wars Babies is next I guess?

Stinky the Hutt! Gave us some of the most curious merchandise.

Now I want a whole series of Star Wars versions of famous paintings.

Yes! I recognized the reference immediately as well! 😁 That’s a pretty brilliant recreation. 👍

Fun fact, “Baby Jabba” was already a thing back when the CGI Clone Wars series started, in that movie that received worse reviews then Solo.

I lived in London for six months when I was 20. I definitely picked up some funky inflections that eventually went away. It happens, but I think Madonna is just being extra lol.

I can second this. I am from Chicago, and put me around my Euro Baltic relatives - I start speaking in like broken English to my kids... put me in Tennessee I can pick up a twang REAL quick, especially after some drinks.

OK. I’m all for poking fun at Madonna, but I have a question. It’s quite natural to pick up accents when you move somewhere where the predominant accent is different from your own. I agree that with Madonna the accent largely arose from her own pretentiousness (thus I agree with poking fun at her).

Look. You take me out of Tennessee and I Immediately pick up a new accent. Some folks just can’t help it. Chicago? Paris? New Olreans? I’ve accidentally been mistaken for a native in all these places becuase I can’t help myself when it comes to accents. *shrug*

The only good fake English accent is a heavily cockneyed one, followed by assertions that you know this is how regular folks in Britain actually speak because you saw it on My Fair Lady, all in a shameless attempt to drive those limey redcoats up a wall.

Having seen it and most of Trigger’s portfolio, I can say it looks amazing and sounds exciting (Hiroyuki Sawano of Attack on Titan and Xenoblade Chronicles X is the composer). That said, before I saw it I joked that Galo was an alt-universe Kamina (Gurren Lagann); after watching Promare I can honestly say that’s

“A FUCKING drill” and “YES KISS” were the two loudest phrases screamed in my viewing. What a fucking fun 2 hours this was.

It was about the most Trigger-est thing I’ve ever seen. That’s a good thing.

So there’s two anime now about the same strange premise, except one has mechs and the other has powers...didn’t see that coming even from Japan.

Apparently the director simply likes drawing spiky-haired dudes [source], and it’s not intentional that they look like Kamina. The blue-hair IMO is more of a thematic decision in the context of this film.

Same here. I think it was pretty explicit - it seemed incredibly clear to me what they were saying. I don’t know how someone could watch the movie and NOT come away with that interpretation.

I didn’t feel it was left open to interpretation at all. Eddie’s certainly is, but Ritchie carved their initials right after being called a slur for gay people. and it was on the bridge that is covered with other love declarations and the like.

I don’t understand all the hate for this movie. I thought it was great and had no problem with the characterizations. Also, as has been mentioned by other commenters on other negative reviews you have written on this move, at the end of the movie Richie didn’t carve his and Eddie’s initials into the fence, he

My boyfriend and I came away thinking the movie had done just what Bill Hader is talking about. I guess it could be lost on some people, but for me Richie's story was of a pair with the homophobic shithead attack at the beginning of the film. That, and him crying when Eddie died, I liked how it was handled.
