I should preface this by saying that I really like Fury Road. I’m a fan of it.

I am a filthy avocado toast eating millennial, and I was floored by Fury Road. I think it’s properly rated, but that any movie with such wide acclaim is going to have some haters, high on their own contrarianism, who call it overrated.

It was known as a ‘jiggle’ show, so you are absolutely correct.

It was kind of both:  Being able to have female spies on a show like that was empowering back in the ‘70s but they also made it super male gazey so they’d get eyeballs on the screen.

Was Charlie’s Angels ever really for women though? I thought the whole point was that it was super male gazey. (This is a genuine question; I’m too young to have seen the show.)

He was purposely marooned - it shows the ship appearing and then leaving. Why else would they leave him there, than to start life? Surely they have to know this would happen.

Ah yes, the Patriot’s deep-state conspiracy

One way or another, the Patriots’ trip to Buffalo always leads to dildos on the field.

If there was a young man in literally any other profession who made $100 million before he was 30 and decided to retire, he would be lauded. The Wall Street Journal would write thousands of words of wankery praising his acumen and smarts and god bless America.

I hope that NFL players take note of the lack of empathy people have shown Andrew Luck during this entire process. Don’t feel guilty about hold-outs for more money. Get as much money as you can and get the hell out before it becomes a detriment to your health.

That’s what Todd Bowles said to Christian Hackenberg

It was D-Day.  Fat, drunk and stupid is not way to go through life, son.

Vegetables are sensual. People are sensuous.

100% agreed. Also both of his injuries easily could of been avoided and were just pure acts of stupidity to gain minimal ground.

Honestly I think that is still more the sports media doing that. Also maybe I am pessimistic, but I was never claiming he was a superstar or on that trajectory, but as a life long niner fan, it seemed as if he would at least be above average starter level. I still think he is, but he is definitely not top tier, and he

My advice to you is to start drinking heavily.

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

Everyone went so crazy over the 5-0 start for Jimmy in SF that they overlooked the pedestrian TD/INT ratio (7-5) and his penchant for taking big hits (he did the same in NE in his second start which is why the Pats had to start Brissett for the last two games of Brady’s suspension).

He signed off on that ridiculous settlement. He can be ready ‘til the cows come home after that; he signed his own career death warrant after that fiasco as far as I’m concerned.

Han shot first?
