I mostly agree with you, except for some of the dialogue on the nature of God, which usually comes up around Tawney. Maybe it's just that I didn't grow up or have ever been around the kind of environment where God is discussed like that, but it always rings false to me.

David Simon is really the right answer. Can't believe I didn't think of him before!

Who is the best dialogue writer in the business? And by business, I mean TV.

I thought FFXV did have a clean slate. Just read that it's still in the same universe, with the whole L'Cie and Etro bullshit. *sigh*

I wish the Metroid game that had its concept art leaked a few years ago would have been released. I am talking about these:

Eh, I don't mind Telltale's release schedule too much, and that's partly because I understand they work in these episodes between releases. With Revelations 2's release schedule, it seems like the entire game was already done when the first episode was released, so why not just release the whole thing at once?

So, in the end, was there any point in releasing this game in an episodic format, other than Capcom just wanted to try it out?

Whoops! All racist Republican presidential nominees look the same to me.

He will put them in the binder when he's finished.

Eh, I've been feeling pretty down this week, what with being unable to find a paying job (unpaid internships are not so great after a while…), being unsure of what's in store for my immediate future and generally feeling pretty lonely. The boyfriend and I are still doing good, but I just miss having friends I actually

I don't know if it can be skipped, but I also struggled with it at first. Watching season 1 was a chore for me at first, but by season 2 I was completely hooked as well.

I'm not American and though I have a television, I only have a computer and video games attached to it. So whenever I do see a commercial here (in the movie theater, friends' houses) they always fascinate me. Compared to my experience with other countries' commercials, American ads have super high production values

I have the feeling caple companies know the current cable model will be completely dead in 20-30 and are now in the phase of charging as much money as they can possibly get away with. Soon the scales will shift so that they will be forced to lower prices in order to stay competitive.

Those sweet, sweet Laurel Canyon gays.

Sticker Star looks pretty, and I like that it's divided into levels from an overworld (it fits with this being a portable game). But the shitty sticker system makes it so that there is absolutely no benefit from ever battling, and boss fights require you to use a specific sticker at a specific time, which often

Last week I finished Dragon Age 2 and Star Wars: the Force Unleashed 2 (which I got off the Humble Bundle). It's interesting to me how similar these two games are. Knowing their reputation for being lesser games, both times I started playing I thought "Why is this game so criticized? It looks great, and plays great!".

RE5 is interesting because it people's opinions of the game vary greatly based on whether they played solo or co-op. For me, beating RE5 with a friend was an enormously fun, hilarious experience. But I completely understand where it doesn't hold up compared to RE4.

I've seen her described as April Ludgate Drag and it endeared her to me.

A lot of the queens this season seem like cheap versions of previously successful queens. So you got Max as Shitty Sharon Needles, Sasha as Shitty Adore and Trixie as Shitty Bianca del Rio. Violet also gives me some serious Carmen Carrera vibes, but she's pulling it off well enough.

"She goes from Kathy Bates to Bob Hoskins" still has me laughing from just thinking about it.
