I played the beta for the original release of FFXIV, never actually paid for a sub to it, and never touched ARR, but apparently my SE account has an ARR beta service account(that I never used) attached to it so I’m inelligible for the free trial, even though I never played, let alone played, ARR.

Its the worst duel in the franchise on a technical level thats only defended because of its narrative weight and nostalgia. It doesn’t take much to improve it. I know the exact video you’re complaininig about. People preferring that over the original doesn’t make anyone a freak.
