I was very excited for dauntless, then lost all interest when they announced it was going to be free to play. I was afraid it would turn into yet another mtx f2p hellscape, and it was, even as early as the beta.

And yet, we have a whole article praising a girl for bragging about ghosting guys in a similar fashion.
As one of the very few depictions of a male character not conforming to the expectations of their gender, I don’t count this as a win. This was low hanging fruit they plucked to cause the least amount of friction possible whilst attempting to appear progressive.
Nope, FOMO is a crucial profit tactic. Grind your battle pass or pay to skip it cause once the rewards are gone, they are gone. Live service games, especially EA ones are notoriously predatory.
“If you try to really spend a lot of time engineering the in-between, that segue, you’re just spending a lot of time on something that’s really not that important to the players,”
They addressed fan concerns similar to how one would address a wound by simply pointing at it. Acknowledging the problem doesn’t do much to alleviate it.
there isn’t a single sentence of “good news” in this entire article.
I was pretty interested in this game until I saw how hard they went the direction of microtransactions. This is a full priced game that looks like a free to play game. Just for attempting that, not even a price cut would convince me to pick it up. I doubt I’d pick it up if it went free to play at this point. It’s a…
Is this some breaking news? Here I thought my money was going to the in game NPCs.
I don’t understand how they could side with the cheat sellers on the tortious interference claim. It’s literally the strongest reason for bungie to go after them. By creating cheats, they are directly interfering with the business relationship between Bungie and its customers. Soiling the intended experience of the…
I agree with OP, it wouldn’t be my first halo game, but I only used to play them with my brother cause he loves first person shooters but I just much prefer third person games. This mod is actually making me interested in playing it myself, when before I had no interest.
Is it really a spooky horror game if you have super powered melee combat?
I gotta say that animation kinda sucks though. Seems it was animated with all the enthusiasm of the quiet kid being forced to do the macarena in middle school. It only barely resembles the original reference in the sense that the arms are half heartedly following along as the body tries to reject the notion.
except its nothing like either game in the headline.
I think the expectation was it would follow the convention of each other character addition to the game. Coming with their own little set of story missions to introduce them to the games universe. Yes it makes sense not to put that much effort into a single platform exclusive, but why would anyone expect a single…
most likely more than try.
“Our priority is to create the best Saints Row game yet” Not with that fortnight art direction it wont be.
Simply ANYONE can do this. Just go to your local gas station with a million dollars. Whats stopping you people? its easy!
150k lines of dialogue? 3-4 voice actors should over it right?
The trailer is so cool they had to disable comments and likes. Whoever they hired to write the dialog needs to retire.
