It wasn’t bot-written. Neural nets don’t work like that. He wrote it himself. It’s a meme. Rarely are these “AI-generated scripts” actually generated.

She admitted to cheating in her post...

No one is saying Syd deserved it.

It was just an unrelated minotaur who happened to be in the area and thought he could offer his perspective on the matter at hand.

I think I disagree with a fundamental premise of the review...that what David does to Syd walks us past an acceptable point. I think that point has been where we were headed all along. The fundamental violation of the type of superpower at the core of the show is that they are transressions of a personal nature,

Huh.

I mean, I agree that it’s super depressing that the show went in this direction, but Legion isn’t Buffy, and it’s not The Flash. I think it’s a deeper and more psychologically interesting show.

It makes perfect sense that David used his powers to make Syd forget that she had stopped loving him, and that he slept

It’s interesting that Syd’s experience with her mother’s boyfriend didn’t seem to provoke a similar reaction out of this reviewer.

Thank god this show got renewed, ‘cause holy shit.

I mean, if anyone couldn’t see she was trying to convey horrific despair in a comedic fashion, then you’re just not trying to actually interact with the art and artist.

If I’m lighter than a grocery bag, I’ll just float away...

oh ffs - it was fine. I assumed it was an extreme reaction with a tinge of sarcasm, in an effort for a laugh. Y’know - comedy.

Not giving a shit about anything is universal. Millions of people of all races do it daily

Can we please stop getting outraged over everything?

Honestly the bit was fine until the last couple of sentences. I certainly wouldn’t call it “white privilege personified.”

“ughhhh me no like film that delivers on 10 year promise of featuring every character built up to in one centralized story. ughh TOO BIG”

Yeah, the very few negative nancy reviews I’ve seen (and this middling, uninformed critique is the worst from anyone serious) all list a bunch of “negatives” that I consider obvious givens (lots of characters) or bonus factors (rewards folks who’ve been paying attention).

“Too many characters?” that’s basically what Marvel has been going for since the first Avengers. It’s a crossover event in the spirit of the original comic.

This sounds like a Pitchfork review, in that it takes something that’s recognized as good and shits on it for something so trivial

Beck is my all-time favorite artist but I’m sure as shit not joining a streaming service to watch a fucking video.

Edgar Allan Poe.
