I wanted to love Jotun, but I thought it was a fairly boring slog, which was a huge bummer. I didn’t feel like it communicated with me very clearly what I was doing, and what worked/didn’t in combat, and that was more than enough to kill it for me.

I have to agree that this feels like a particularly petty gripe. I’ve seen people saying that they won’t buy games like Snake Pass because of the icon..... which is bananas to me. I imagine the people saying that are children/idiots who had no intention to/money required to buy the games in question, but if that’s not…
Your optimism about Megyn Kelly’s show lasting 500 days is enviable.
It took me a long while, but I got there eventually! Beat levels 2 and 3 once I got a bit more experience and found a Head/Gun/Backpack combo that worked for me. Still haven’t beaten the whole thing yet. Have you found any extra equipment? Or figured out that you can get an extra heart by visiting Sally the Whale…
If anything has the trying-to-rip-off-Hyper-Light-Drifter-on-Switch crown, it’s gotta be Phantom Trigger. I personally think that Kamiko is a bit blah and only slightly better than the titles that preceded it from the developer and/or publisher, but it’s got more in common with the likes of Fairune, I’d say.
I love GoNNER! So, so good. It reminds me of The Binding of Isaac in some ways, though without all the boss variety and weapon types we see there. Still, it’s tough as nails, and it feels so good getting to the latter worlds, and bosses, and nailing longer combos. For $10 it’s a heck of a bargain. I don’t know how…
I will say that I’m loving Mario + Rabbids, but I’ve never played XCOM, so I can’t say how they compare. I think it’s probably closer to something like a stripped-down Fire Emblem, but with all the characters typically using ranged weapons as their main form of combat. If you don’t like tactics titles at all, though,…
I usually vascillate between getting lots of games I don’t finish, and then not letting myself buy more until I finish what I’ve got. It’s the best of both worlds! I get to experience the guilt of my consumerist needs followed by the accomplishment of finishing what I start...... unless I just keep buying more…
In fairness, they’re not the first ones to have this idea; Molleindustria made Faith Fighter almost a decade ago. I wonder if it’s any better than a decade-old free Flash counterpart.....
I’d almost certainly get this on my Switch since it’s gotten solid reviews. If it’s happening any time near Xenoblade 2, however, they’re going to have to wait for me to consider plunking my cash down for a while.
That is an appropriately frivolous Splatfest topic. I like it.
I feel like this is one of the most honest answers to this question.
Here’s a sentence I didn’t think I’d ever have to write in my life: I have more respect for PewDiePie than the U.S. President; and I say that as someone who generally dislikes PewDiePie. I just...... How? How even?
The incredibly sad fact is that he’s still a notch above the president with his statement on Charlottesville; how in the bleeding hell is that even possible?
The wait from ARMS hitting and Splatoon 2's release saw me tormented, wanting to be a part of the new game and IP, but I knew I’d ignore it when Splatoon 2 dropped, and I no longer retrospectively regret that decision. I think dropping Splatoon 2 a mere month after ARMS was a strange choice. I know they’re totally…
I have to think the staff at Jaguars Junction will frown upon this.
It sure will!
Yup! I got USB one for my Chromebook for like $10 (maybe less?) several years ago and it’s treated me mighty well!
Counterpoint: Don’t tell me what to do with such a shitty, condescending tone. Tell you what, just for you, I won’t buy it until it’s on Switch, and even then, I’ll wait until it gets a deep price cut.
I’m also holding out for it on Switch! I want it so very much, and that’d be the ideal platform for me to play it on. It was made in Unity, no? So I imagine porting wouldn’t be too crazy of a task. Here’s hoping!
