If I could have this on Switch, I’d be all over it! But, EA being how they are, I don’t see that happening.

Easy compromise for those who feel like inking the base might somehow waste time: throw down a secondary weapon as soon as you spawn/respawn. It can get some down and waste almost zero time.

I am so very excited for this to come to Switch. I get the sense we’ll only get a pricier version of the game, though, due to it being a physical release on the platform (with Nicalis publishing, if I recall correctly). I personally don’t really need a game like this on a cart, and if I’m spending $30 on it either way

This seems to be the new rallying cry; since the Switch is actually getting great games and important IPs earlier in its life than the Wii U ever did, they need to be dismissed as “just ports.” Even when they’re clearly not.

That seems to be the new panic, for some reason. We get a Nintendo sequel 2 years after the last game and suddenly everyone assumes it has to just be a tiny upgrade for Switch with a 2 slapped on the end instead of being a Deluxe version, like MK8. It’s pretty obvious they’re not afraid to release Deluxe or DX

I literally can’t believe I’m about to say this after seeing all the leaks up to now, and if you told me I was going to say this 2 weeks ago, I’d refuse to believe it, but:

I feel like it’s been better for consumers for the Xbox exclusives to also be available on PC, but man, it really kills any incentive anyone could really have for getting an Xbox One. I feel like console gaming is all about the exclusives, and when you compare the PS4 to the Xbox One in terms of pure platform-specific

It’s cute how hard you’re working to insult the Switch’s game library. Brand new consoles don’t have hundreds of games! Whoda thunk it?

There’s a demo, so definitely check that out! I can see where it would be grating to some folks, and I feared I would be among them, but I enjoyed what I played. I could easily see it being too cutesy or grindy, though.

The good news is that this scenario isn’t entirely out of the realm of possibility just yet:

As a college writing teacher, I wish I could say that doesn’t happen, but there’s at least one student every semester who busts out that classic. And I shudder a bit every time.

I assume this was some sort of limited edition or pre-order bonus, right?

For some reason my connection in Battle Mode has been particularly bad, with literally getting into a match being a struggle more often than not. And I know for a fact that it isn’t me, since I’m using a hard-wired connection.

Agreed. But then, GTA felt to me then like CoD feels nowadays; a bit oversaturated. Three GTA games released in 3 years time was way too much for me and I could never give SA the time of day after loving 3 and VC as much as I did

Now playing

This is all I can think of when I read that line.

Do what I do when Amazon fucks up (which they do to me alarmingly often): get a boxed copy at Target or equivalent, keep the receipt, return the packaged copy from Amazon to Target, and BAM! You get it launch day, for the discounted price, and nobody gets hurt.

If I didn’t get it without paying anything out of pocket (Amazon Prime discount, sold some old Wii U titles, like OG MK8), I could definitely see other MK8 veterans feeling ripped off. Not paying $60 for it myself, I didn’t feel the sting, but this being the same price as Zelda? Ouch.

YUGE sales.

I suspect part of the problem is that for Kickstarter campaigns to be extremely successful and get the platform itself the opportunity to cash in on all those sweet, sweet fees from a successful project, they need to trade on blind optimism a bit. If they make it too clear how much risk is involved, it could easily

Those shady types of projects seem to like to trade on the myth that it’s so expensive to get to the moon because NASA is too big and unwieldy.... but if you give your cash to the lean, mean, development machine humbly asking for money on Kickstarter you’re cutting all those evil corporate middlemen out of the
