I..... thought that was just a random child, only to read the caption and then become thoroughly confused. He looks like a giant 10-year old. Yikes.

I’ll give them a shot! Cheers, fellow Kotaku commenter!
Makes me look forward to Mondays, as hard as that is to do. I’ve only supported him and Brutalmoose, since I love their content. Well, Jim’s for its topicality and because I think it’s important, and Brutalmoose since he’s probably one of my favorite “traditional” gaming YouTubers; my fluffy Yin to Sterling’s poignant…
I also love that Kotaku’s covering stuff like this, but actual stories on Steam, like the one Jim posted on this morning regarding the game with only 1 level in it (Journey of the Light) appear to be nowhere to be found (unless I somehow missed it on the Kotaku main page). Kinda sad. Long live garme journalizm.
I loved every second of that. I’ve been big into Jim’s work for a good 3 years now, and supporting his Patreon since day one and proud to do so. I respect the hell out of his work, and think he’s a rare combination of brilliant, hilarious, topical, and persuasive. In short: Thank God for Jim!
Whenever Kotaku covers a Steam game, I find Jim Fucking Sterling Son has usually already done a video on it.... forcing me to wonder just how much more on the ball he must be than everyone else.
........ Okay? I thought my comment implied that I actually have long hated his work, and this actually gave me a shred of respect for him, but maybe not clearly enough.
Interestingly, I’ve never had more respect for the guy. Kudos to him for not just buying into the pressure and pretend to be scared for the same of it. It only makes me question the authenticity of those who have ridiculous reactions all the more.
Any word on the platforms the DLC is coming to? I got this on my Wii U and I’ll be extremely disappointed if there’s no plans to bring it there..... but won’t be stunned. I don’t want to have to buy it again on PC to play the DLC, though.
Agree with all of that 100% of the way. This is the only game my wife has ever finished, and we did so in co-op. Minor technical issues at the very end aside, it was an amazing experience. Like tons of great indie games it felt like something more than a game (nothing wrong with “just a game,” mind), and I loved it.
When just scrolling through, yeah, a lot of it is pointless, but I do use it to keep track of the folks I am “Friends” with on there. Even just this last week one of them posted about a game I’d somehow never heard of on the 3DS that looks cool. I’ve also shared Tomodachi Life QR codes with those folks for our Miis,…
I was expecting to see this redesign as a restructuring of the content I already posted, so I’m pretty bummed that my “Play Journal Entries” section is empty, and will remain that way until I add more. I was hoping and expecting to see my posts for other games restructured into entries and grouped together and such.…
I get the sense that those people essentially want to use Miiverse as Facebook since their parents can’t also access it, if I’m not mistaken, without a Nintendo Network ID. So I imagine it’s more private than, say, Facebook or Twitter in that way.... but that was never the point of it, and I don’t think it’s a…
They’ve hinted at it in the past, and that’s precisely what’s had me hoping for this ever since: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/en/library/… I don’t know if they were just paying lip service to those who want them to acknowledge the existence of the mobile markets (even more plausible since this was in 2013, well before…
My hope and expectation has been for them to essentially create a Nintendo OS, so that they can have their games play across handhelds, home consoles, and hell, even Nintendo-branded phones or tablets if they wanted to someday, with only the need to account for differences in textures and models to run across all of…
The developers indeed. They didn’t do much to make themselves seem bright with lines like this: http://nintendoeverything.com/slightly-mad-s…
Right? How bizarre.
I’m going to be a blubbering mess. Maybe somehow he’ll outlive me. I’d almost rather he did. It’s going to be so sad, and I think I’ll know I’ve lost part of my childhood forever.
Doubt it comes as a shock that I’m infatuated with Nintendo, so lately I’ve been playing Splatoon more than anything else, but I’ve been exceptionally busy since it launched, so my gaming time has been pretty scarce. Beyond that primarily Fire Emblem Awakening on my 3DS here and there. Oh, and I’ve started playing…
I hope they plan to bring this to the Wii U version, but I also hope weak sales don’t prevent that from happening. It’s the only game I’ve played from start to finish with my wife, and I rather enjoyed it.... save for the weird platforming glitches I hit at the final moments where I would swim in platforms and then…
