I rather dislike the serialization of games, but I think Sonic could benefit from it. Pick an art style, game engine, playable characters, mechanics, and just refine something for once! It drives me nuts, since I like Sonic, and know the games have the potential to be successful. Even Lost World isn't bad, and if they

Not innovate necessarily, but simply polish. How many kinds of Sonic game have we seen since Adventure 2? It's obscene. Sonic has no identity anymore. They scrap every foundation with every new game and it's insane. They need to revisit almost any game from the last 5 years, build on the foundation, and polish it.

They all blatantly rip you off, though. You get maybe half their resale price, if you're lucky. On Amazon or eBay... You get all of it. Sure, it's a bit more hassle, and not an option for younger kids, but if you have a car (and do any shopping at all) and access to a printer, then you're stupid not to. It's why I

I sell all my unwanted games on eBay. Usually the ones I sell there I got cheap anyway, and more often than not I break even or close to it (hell, I've even turned a profit on some of them). Then I funnel the funds into purchasing more new games, and if I don't like them, off they go. If I do, I keep them, naturally.

Fear not:

Knowing that somehow this person got their game onto the Wii U and so many other developers with skill and/or talent don't or can't depresses me. I assume this was made with Unity and used the Nintendo free Unity thing to make it? If not, how the hell did they purchase a Wii U Dev kit and make this garbage? Ugh.

On Mac, no. This is about an iPad version of a game, however, where you are 100% locked in unless you jailbreak your device.

It's a persistent double-standard that drives me insane, but I know well enough that it's something I have to live with. I can only imagine the flack I could get (I'm in Bible Belt territory, without wishing to make my alias more transparent than I'd like so I can enjoy that sweet anonymity of these internets) for

Agreed 100%. I'm surprised it was an option at all, frankly, which makes me wonder how vital it is to the game, as indie devs tend not to compromise their vision at all, which is the only reason I felt justified in turning it off, as it didn't seem to detract from the experience.

To provide a touch more context, I teach at a university and was playing it in a set of offices for teaching assistants and doing so because I was requiring my students to play the game for a class I was teaching. So for the context on campus, and to not have to worry about students objecting to being forced to

I chose to remove the nudity, but only so that if people saw me playing it on my laptop I wouldn't have to worry about it looking like I was looking at some kind or really bizarre pornography or something. I don't feel like I missed the key points of the story, but I can see the point everyone's making about it and

Or lest we forget things like Dark Worlds and the like, given the history of the franchise. I'm guessing that won't be happening based on the size of this map, but, who knows!

I rather do like pretty much all the Normal Boots folks. Not just "here's me playing a game!" but usually with an explicit purpose and/or unique angle (like The Completionist). I love entertainment and shows about games..... but just a guy playing games and overreacting to them as they happen...? I literally don't see

Holy crap, that Skies of Arcadia one. That hit me right in the nostalgia.

That was really beautiful, Nathan. Thanks for sharing.

My experience last night was pretty miserable as well. I know it's not my connection, so I'm guessing it is the servers? What a shame. Had maybe 1 of 5 battles not lag out completely.

They do when retailers would be furious if Nintendo openly presold one of their biggest selling games of the year to keep all the profits. Not saying it isn't a crappy reason, but I feel almost certain that's why. I feel like they did that with Wind Waker HD, though, but maybe that was only with the hardware bundle? I

It seems they learned their lesson; if they advertise the Vita, bad things will happen to them. What else could they possibly learn from this case?

I've pre-ordered a total of 2 games. One was Alpha Sapphire, because I had Gamestop giftcards at the time. One was Mario Kart 8, after the reviews had been out, just to get a $10 gift card from Best Buy and the free game with it if registered in the first 2 months. That's been it, in my entire life of playing games.
