It may be wrong of me, but I feel burned enough right now that I kinda hope it DOES fail. Wait 2 more years and bring on a REAL successor with the fancy new specs and software. Not a mildly updated version of the same thing that bisects the hardware base. I imagine nobody but Nintendo will support this "new" 3DS

Hope they're content to miss out on the 43 million install base to sell the game to. I'm sure as hell not upgrading any time soon, if ever, on principle alone.

Yeah, if this emerges as a trend, I'm going to be REALLY pissed. Also, this "New 3DS" thing is very "New iPad" which drives me nuts. If it's new, and only runs certain software, that needs to be made clear. How the hell will the box for this game ever articulate that it only runs SOME 3DS consoles.... But not

Awesome! Depending on price I'll definitely check it out on the system! Didn't think it'd ever be on Nintendo's system, but that's great!

I feel like this is trying to create the illusion of value and little more. They're not going to drop the bundle price, so by extension, the cost of X1 and Kinect together needed to be more by default. Can't say I'm shocked, but it does make me question what the actual value of the Kinect actually is.

Wish this was coming to Wii U, unless I missed it, because I'd actually back it instantly if that were the case. With the Gamepad interface I think it could work really well as well. Looks like they're making it in Unity as well, so I imagine moving it to there would be pretty easy. I've really wanted a theme park

I definitely think it's a smart approach. Third parties don't want to put a game on the system because it won't sell (so they claim, and history seems to support) since people only want to buy Nintendo games. Nintendo can't afford to develop every game on the system. This way, third parties get onto the system, people

They serve as a really bizarre way of gamifying.... Games... Which seems a bit pointless to me. You play to have fun, most of the time. Why not just have fun and do so in your own way? Play the game in a unique way because you thought it'd be fun, not to get a bunch of meaningless points added to a score based on the

What's interesting is that we seem to have seen a lot of emotional maturity hitting both games and rap music (based on this article on the rap side, anyway. I pretty much just listen to Humble Bundle soundtracks these days....) But a lot of that seems to happen in the more independent scene and/or as a rarity in the

Oh man, I think you're talking about Mad Dog McCree! I remember that! Never played it, but good lord. They pimped that in the previews/commercials for the system all the time. I seem to recall Night Trap being on it as well, but could be wrong. Oh man, and I just started looking: I played the hell out of Road Rash as

I remember a basketball game I needed to look up just now as well. Slam 'N Jam '95. At least they tried with that name. Though, Wikipedia does tell me that there was a game called "Jammit." Haha.

........... okay?

We had Need for Speed, Theme Park, some of the Alone in the Dark games, Gex..... Man, I loved that stuff back then. Played the SHIT out of Theme Park. I would love if they brought a non-shit version to mobile, but I know it'd never happen. Stupid EA...

God, the 3DO. Sometimes, I think I was one of the only people who played that thing....

Yeah, I think everything you mentioned really contributes to the lack of sales on the platform. I have a PC, and I prefer to play games on the Wii U, honestly. Cost be damned, I prefer being able to play off-tv if I want to, and not needing to dick around with settings and hope it's even remotely well-optimized.

I would love to keep the support going, but I just can't anymore. It's kind of nice to be liberated of feeling like I "need" to buy something to show good faith, though. I'd kill to at least have sports games on the system.... and why we don't is beyond me. Once you have the engine running, how hard is a slightly

I was foolish enough for a time to allow my purchasing habits to fall into what owning a Wii U and buying games for it seems to be like most of the time: content for ransom. It feels like (personal opinion alert!) you're not allowed to not buy a game simply because it's not reviewing well or looks boring, because the

Hence why I won't be buying more of their "mature" games in the future anyway. Most of them are a boring slog for me, personally. Somehow, at the right price, I might be persuaded to buy Watchdogs for my Wii U, if only because it's different than other titles available on the system, but I've bought titles like Zombi

Yeah, I think those may have even been Platinum rewards one year, but I could be mistaken. Forget what I got instead if that was the case (must have been good.... haha....). Wonder why Bunny Link gets no love? If nothing else he's different and weird enough that it's totally worth including him.

Hell. I wish I'd gotten that one. At the time I think I realized I lacked more space on my cubicle to add more posters so I decided against getting it. I should have anyway.... that poster's pretty awesome!
