I'm looking at the poster in my office now and was cross-comparing as I read through the article. At least some of the screens above are different poses. I'd love an updated History of Link poster come next year with the new Link in the new Zelda game. Seems Club Nintendo is moving away from physical rewards, though,

What do you know about the three blades?

I'd always thought it'd make sense to do a Kickstarter for a new Shenmue or Skies of Arcadia (aside of the fact that Sega definitely has the money.... I just want to be able to prove in some way that there is, in fact, demand for it, and would put my money where my mouth is , if need be).... Or new releases of both

I hope they had a low funding goal. If not, I'm stunned people had that kind of faith without any real promised return on the investment.

Wow. Also, ouch. Who the hell would rather be at soccer practice than anything, ever?

This feels like another awkward case of players requesting something from a game company where they can't really win in the end. They do it? People will be happy in the short term, but then players might start to think they can stomp their feet about anything they want and make it happen. They don't? People might get

I hope to feel that was as well. I've never really played one of them, honestly, but it seems like Nintendo is doing a damn fine job of bringing franchises to the Wii U better than they've been in a decade or more..... and I think I'm going to wait for the pretty pictures to come to my Wii U instead of my 3DS. That

"Behind every great fortune is a great crime" doesn't feel too far off, honestly. Well said. There seem to be some indie folks who largely sidestep the shenanigans, but looking at almost all big companies in the medium, there's a history littered with folks starting out small and running themselves into the ground

They've definitely both had their faults, but I appreciate that they largely seem to care about their players...... but they're not immune to the B.S. you've noted here, though. I can't imagine any company ending up with a squeaky clean image, since they're destined to be a bit greedy or piss folks off. I just get the

That kind of stuff really bums me out, but plenty of folks show you can (largely) make folks happy and make bank. Valve and Rockstar are two pretty good examples of big games companies that seem to (largely) care about what gamers want and laugh to the bank in the process. Folks like them make me wonder why everyone

Because then the market for your second game might shrink by at least 60%, plus the people in that remaining 40% who wisen up? I understand the whole "companies exist to make money" thing, but when I feel like my enjoyment is collateral damage in a business ploy, I won't support a company again (say, EA). Others may

The quote screams "we're content with pissing off 60% of customers to make 2 times as much off of the remaining 40% that're suckers.... While we can, anyway." Sad, but not surprising. This industry, man. This industry....

..... Tanooki Tail?

"Bro" is right in the title, after all......

Dude, I don't know what you're talking about, bro, Nintendo is totally DudeBro, bro. Dude. Seriously. We got your Calling Duties, and your............... we have those, so far, bro!

Had to look it up. Lord, I only remember a level where I had to keep hitting the right directions in the sewers and thought that was the whole game..... unless I'm remembering that incorrectly as well. I was like 6 when I played this game, so I really don't remember. Haha. Still..... not a very thrilling game.

You never know. I'm in the humanities, so I see people doing dissertations the length of the books they're talking about that seem to focus on things like "hidden symbolism" and my mind boggles a bit. I have few doubts someone could literally make with a 2,000 page piece on the matter (about 400 pages per game...

Part of me desperately wants to believe that's all hyperbole..... but it's hard to tell where it might begin for real in the list. I got a genuine chuckle out of the "2,000-page interpretive thesis" part though..... but if that was somehow true, I might have to cry instead.

I could sense that I was being provoked, and yet, as someone who gets all pissy when someone tells me I'm wrong or in some way "attacks me," I made a few critical mistakes: letting myself get pissy, and then writing more than absolutely necessary; I do that last bit entirely too often and hate myself for it. I like to
