Great Story - that one will stay in your memory books forever. Epic road trips always do.

Has anyone else noticed that the rear tires seem significantly smaller than the front tires?

Well, maybe it was way early on a Monday morning and I was trying to start my week too optimistically. Maybe not a very nice price then, and maybe I should try harder to get one of my own before it is :-D

Umm, yes, and how would one not view this as a “classic car” given it’s +25 years, provenance, limited production, etc.

I looked at what Rob included and it looks like a very well kept 26 year old car, one that has actually been driven but taken care of (which is worth as much or more to me as a museum piece).

Everyone voting CP on this car has no idea what it is. The 500e is much much more than a standard w124, think e30 M3 but with more rarity, class and substance (and everyone on this site would hit the NP button and THEN go read the article at $30k for the M3).

That it comes with all of the common trouble spots

Actually I’m going to count that as a downside...... I habitually park way out everywhere possible, preferably a good 5-10 spaces to either side and I can almost count on coming out to find someone snugged up RIGHT.NEXT.TO.ME. I think it’s the shiny car, like moths to a light bulb, they can’t help themselves.

I’ll give you road salt, I was only recently exposed to just how nasty actual snow can make a car. I vowed to only visit those places using airlines and rental cars :-D

Contrary to popular belief it IS possible to own a car for an extended period of time and have it remain in nice clean condition. This requires only 3 things:

This poor thing was probably stolen and wrecked, would be very tempting at 1/2-2/3rds the price but salvage is salvage and will forever wear a scarlet letter and a lower value.

And they smell sickly of cotton candy from big puffy clouds!

1) What in the world is going on in the background of the lead picture, it’s like they photoshopped the car in front of a Google Maps drive-by transition image?

Stock is for wussies! Nice car, extremely well presented for sale (so sadly a rarity), fair asking price.

This ^ - She’d sit right beside my 1990 944 S2 Cab which only sees rain if I’m caught in it on the way to putting her back in her nice dry home. This car should not be put into Daily Driver category, she’s old enough to be treated to Fun Car status.

Came to vote NP, I’d rock the crap out of that baby!

NP should not only indicate it could be afforded by most and that it can go down the road under it’s own power but that it’d be worth driving. Sorry, this is a no for me, I remember these as fondly as I do 1988 Hyundai Excels, neither would I find any bit of entertainment out of at any price.

That’s the easiest question I’ve had all day - G Body 911 - ...... (and I can’t believe I only saw one deep into the replies in this thread) I became obsessed with the 911 as a kid in the early 80's, drew them in class, fantasized about buying one for 2 and a half decades. It became a BURNING desire after having

Could you include an option (just this once) for “good night with a little weed” in the middle of the NP - CP.

I love polarity on the internet, allow me to drop some knowledge for ya’:
