That's a good point. My husband was an air force brat and lived in Germany for 6 years. Even after 4 years of marriage sometimes he'll be like "Oh yeah I saw that when I was in Amsterdam." And I will say "WHEN were you in Amesterdam? That is so cool! Why did you never tell me you went to Amsterdam?"

Yes to #3 and #9

Her voice sounds normal to me. Not too different from my speaking voice. I hope people take me seriously and don't write me off because of my voice.

I'm going with tigers because they are squeaking. And because the woman feeding them in one shot is also wearing a tee shirt with white tigers on it. And that's awesome!

At least in the case of Wellesley, that's through a college exchange thing (Wellesley students can also take classes at MIT, Babson and I think Olin?) But the college is still all women. And there are not a lot of guys who take classes at Wellesley (I had one class in 4 years, OrgoChem, that had a guy in it.)

I agree. I also went to an all women's college. I don't think the problem is that an all male college exists, the problem is that the majority of the trustees want to change and two dissenters are stopping them.

Yeah, my grad program is really women heavy. My class 82% women, the class above me was all women. We joked during my first year that we should work on recruiting men for the next class. And we did...sort of, it was 50/50 that year, but then after that went back to normal.

While not as cool as forging a ring out of a meteorite, my husband did make my engagement ring by hand. It's made of Monel which is apparently very hard to work with. He had to buy all new tools to work it and it took him much longer to make than he anticipated (he thought it would take a couple weeks, but it took 4

That was my interpretation as well. It's not perfect, but the tone of the article suggests that this is still better representation than in most US ads.

Did the owners who bought it at 55k do any renovation? For my house, 2 owners before me bought the house for 1/2 as much as I did, but they also renovated the kitchen and bathroom and finished the basement, so it makes sense.

This is weird because I was just at a lunch meeting with a manager of a scientific R&D company talking about PhDs and how useful they are. She's been with the company for 12 years starting as a staff scientist and when she got hired she said a PhD was the minimum requirement. But now they do actually hire people

I think the positive aspect was the line at the end "Come as you are" which seemed to indicate that McDs at least doesn't care.

I was weird in that after I read it the "normal"way the first time (and inevitably died) I would go back and read it the wrong way, I mean I would read each page in order like a normal book. I just never wanted to miss a page.

YES! My friends found a very sweet cat, super loving and cuddly, and found out that she was chipped, yay! But then found out that the number associated with the chip is no longer active. They've tried their hardest to find the owner (contacting local vets, shelters, posting ads) and are now going to try to adopt

Ha, I love this song as well. It's no worse than a lot of breakup songs out there and I tap my feet so much while listening to it.

Phoebe was a masseuse. Her singing was more of a part time hobby (not sure if she was paid for the singing).

Ugh, that sucks. I had a similar experience a couple months ago. My husband and I have discussed the issue, and although we do want kids someday, right now isn't a good time: I'm at a critical point in my PhD and he just took over as head blacksmith at the shop, so we are both working ridiculous hours. Then we went

In zebrafish Shh is duplicated, and they named the second copy twiggy-winkle. It's really hard to stand up in front of my department and say both names with a straight face.

I love charoset and I'm also weird that I actually love gefilte fish. I'm an atheist Jew (with a lapsed Catholic father) who married a lapsed Catholic atheist. We put my menorah next to our grapefruit christmas tree and he makes me matzlava (matzah baklava) for passover. And he fasts with me on Yom Kippur just to
