"I don't think it's at all silly to call our system of laws a reasonable representation of the public will that often embodies and exhibits the values of a society. Do you really find that a silly concept?"

"If you hear him talk about the Doctor's Wife, all the good stuff about it was because of Moffat. He had more freedom with his latest episode and that was one of the worst of the season."
"And through our laws, we as a society seem to agree." That could be one of the silliest justifications in the history of things.
Yeah, I like how so many people think that she just blew off sending her kids to school. I've never had a job that did not require me to leave the house before my kids left for school. If you're a single parent with no money, your options are kind of limited.
Had a similar situation with my daughter in high school. Since late middle school she's suffered from a number of neck and back problems that caused her to miss school, not to mention being more or less unable to participate in P.E.
I'm sure it would never happen, but goddamn that would be AWESOME.
Incorrect. DC might not be able to name the movie Captain Marvel, but they most certainly can call the character that.
Yep. He wore Lt. Commander stripes, and in at least one episode his record was read out and specifically called him a Lt. Commander.
I also adore Undiscovered Country. It's nearly perfect (though I would also cut that horrible Klingon scene — seriously, the Universal Translator would be recognized, but not someone horribly butchering the Klingon language?).
Exactly. Want to keep your companions from going out and getting into trouble? Tell them you can't change history.
I like Moffat, and I think the show's actually been pretty consistent about the fixed point stuff (all things considered), but the whole ending to the Amy/Rory saga was just terrible.
Actually, I think what we learn in The Wedding of River Song is that the Doctor WASN'T destined to die. The Tesselecta was destined to die. It's just that everyone THOUGHT the fixed point was the Doctor's death.
I have to believe Sick Bay was a pretty boring place to be without, y'know, patients.
New Who has been pretty consistent: you can change things, unless they are so-called fixed points in time, in which case you cannot.
Huh? I'm pretty sure that's the date he wrote it...
The sequel to X-Men: Days of Future Past?
More like because it seemed mysterious. The idea was that the main character was supposed to be an enigma.
My nipples explode with delight!
My wife tends to feel that masturbating is disrespectful to the spouse. I love her to pieces and I can't imagine life without her, but she's got this unfortunate combination of Catholic guilt and abuse in her past that add up to a lot of sexual repression.
No, but I'll gladly take credit for it.
