Starred because BABYLON 5 FUCK YES!

Starred because Ringworld.

I don't think that's true, or at least not true everywhere. In any case, it's safest to get a release.

Most photographers I know always get consent, and if they cannot, they get rid of the photos. My wife is an amateur photographer; her work won't be sold or anything, though it might end up in a small gallery. She keeps a stack of releases in her gear bag for this reason.

I know, right? It's so...ugh, I don't even have the vocabulary to express how disturbing this is.

I once knew a guy who told me there was some model of camcorder that had a night mode that, if used during daytime to record people in skin-tight swimwear, would "see through" the bikinis. He would actually take this thing to the beach for this purpose.

Just as well; it was a mind-numbingly stupid rumor.

Squishy cloth types repreSENT!

Which means what, exactly? That you were looking for an excuse to take a shot at Doctor Who? Because I love that show to pieces, but "better than old Doctor Who" isn't much of a standard to aspire to in terms of production values, etc.

You're awesome.

You think nobody at Warners has had that thought? For a decade they were an extremely reliable stream of revenue for WB. They're only greenlighting this new Rowling project because they miss that sweet, sweet cash. But some executive in some office already has a PowerPoint prepared on how to re-do the Potter films,

Came here to make sure Blake's 7 was mentioned.

"a huge positive impact on GENERATIONS of readers"

You're awesome.

I was visiting a friend in the Netherlands once, and he introduced me to a friend of his. Most of the Dutch I met spoke pretty good English but with an obvious Dutch accent. Not this guy. He sounded like he was from London. Turns out he listened to a lot of BBC shortwave radio (it was the 80's).

I miss the pre-CRISIS universe! Give me my Earths 1-2-3-S-X-B and Prime! Give me my WWII JSA! Hell, give me Infinity, Inc.! Where's Roy Thomas? Where's Curt Swan?

Quite possibly, although sometimes comic stores don't have a ton of local competition.

Very much this. I ran a comic store back in the 80's, and I can assure you that any woman who came in and asked comic book questions received my undivided attention. Most geeky guys I knew *wanted* more women involved in nerdly pursuits.

Yeah, I don't understand why this is a mystery. The Batman films hit "fatigue" when they started sucking. Same with Superman. Same with X-Men. Same with Star Trek. And so on.

I can't stop laughing at this.
