Choice 1) 1976 Olds Cutlass S two-door in blue. 350ci Oldsmobile engine (last year it was stamped Olds, 1977 begat the GM parts bin crate motor).

Reason 1) My grandparents had one for as long as I can remember and it NEVER got driven. I know that it ran because my diminutive grandmother climbed behind the wheel and

Make two ...I’m on my way!

Dude ... The four pack of Kirkland thin crust pepperoni pies? Those might be the greatest frozen pizzas ever.

I’ll hit 100k this week.

Yes, intake mani has been the only real issue. I’ve owned cars that have eaten water pumps before. This is like my 6th German, so I’m no stranger to CV boots. The intake has been a bitch and a half, but I’m going with the newest revision, so I’m crossing my fingers that this is the final fix.

The intake manifold is garbage. It’s 9-12 hours of work to replace and, depending on where you go, that’s not cheap at all. The manifold is on its 3rd (I think) revision and reports of issues are way, way down. I’m just finalizing plans to replace mine (dreaded intake runner flap error).

Other than that ...it ate a CV

6, good sir.

I’ve got a 5.2L V10 in my sedan. Same basic lump as in the R8 and an older Lamborghini. The R8 is detuned from the bull and my car in detuned from the R8, thus ...

GODDAMNIT, Thomas. You should be ashamed.

I still owe on my current car, but there’s a no-miles example (wrong number of pedals) right up the street from me for almost $11k off of the sticker price.

I do not NEED a new car, but this is a really solid car that’s inexpensive to maintain (I’m driving a heavy German sedan

But that doesn’t preclude the possibility of telling the story. I’d actually like to see a well-written season in which the protagonist maybe doesn’t make it out alive.

Honestly, Stranger Things should have gone anthology. Different government buildings doing different experiments having different impacts on the community around them.

O tell me, octopus I begs,
Is those things arms or is they legs?
- Ogden Nash

There’s zero video evidence that he lost the ball at any point. On the first replay (pre-realization of disgusting injury), they show him on his side and his arm is clearly under the ball. He didn’t let go (to clutch his destroyed leg) until he was basically flat on his back.

Yeah, that was a difficult game to watch.

Best part was the announcing team initially saying “we’re not going to show you that on replay, it was pretty bad,” then showing it 18 times after hearing the TD was reversed.

Teased ...or tased?

Am I the only one who sees a LOT of last year’s Acura Precision concept in the Mazda? And the Acura had suicide doors!

Yep, I was gonna say a small Honda. Fit, Civic, whatever.

Is anyone else getting a faint sense of Popemobile?

After Kevin Ware, I think I’ve learned my lesson. I won’t watch this. (I’ll probably watch this and regret the hell out of it.)
