no its not. I dare you to try a lotus exige and come away saying “accessible hp in an analog package are long gone”.

I don’t see the big deal. Turbo is being used generically as in “more power”. The same way a pc used to have a turbo button.

This is all bullshit and I’ll take you out in my gt3rs and show you how much it’s bullshit. I can even show you how you CAN left brake and clutchless downshift.
I wouldn’t say unsafe so this is not true. I run them on the street in the summer in a gt3rs and get sqeaks but have never run into an issue but yes the warmer the better for the yellows.
to me this is the optimal setup for a porsche. MAybe run the padig blacks but they can eat rotors more.
That statement right there. “I am more able to extract the absolute performance”. Somehow it seems you feel like a pdk over a manual is giving that ability to you? It’s not just about connection. I sent this to someone else to explain my reasoning and I do acknowledge that a pdk is easier to drive on track since…
I guess I look at it as perfecting the experience. I’ve never played golf but to me it’s like that. People buy a set of clubs and then go out and practice and get better not try and wait for for golf clubs or golf balls to help give them an advantage. The fun of the activity (to me) is the perserverance of repition…
you don’t even know how wrong that statement is and if you don’t belive me I have years of hd gopro footage to send you combating every word in your statement. I’ll agree that working a manual transmission means that that is more to manage and therefore more chances to make a mistake. I’ve missed shifts many of times…
why not just learn to drive better instead of relying on a pdk to make you look better?
You’re not driving it hard enough. That’s rediculous. Having a connection and feeling with the car is what we like especially at the track. That’s the problem with this pdk/manual nonsense is everyone that can’t drive is always touting them looking for an advantage. If you know how to drive you’re not relying on a pdk…
nothing beats partying with traders. when you’re hanging out with 25 year old kids who are making 25mil a year. Straight wolf of wall street.
I’m with you on this. I personally find mid engine cars to be twitchy spin-out machines. Confidence in a car goes a long way when you’re behind the wheel trying to go fast.
You made a mistake. My 997.2 RS came with 325 rear section from the factory. The Gt3 comes 315 the RS comes 325. That was also true of the 991 as well. In fact the only thing tire wise that changed with the 991 is they went with wider fronts going from 245 to 265 to take out the understeer. I run r compounds in that…
this is actually a mistake. My 997.2 RS came with 325 rear section from the factory. The Gt3 comes 315 the RS comes 325. That was also true of the 991 as well. I do with my 2011 GT3RS. All stock. I just had the stock suspension corner balanced to my weight and I did change the pads to pagid yellows when the OE were done. I also run on R compounds that pull way more G’s and subsequently puts more strain on components. All I do is oil and transmission fluids and have the…
That manual take rate bullshit doesn’t apply to the gt3/rs models. EVERY GT3...EVERY ONE....THAT WAS EVER MADE from the 70's till the 997.2 was a manual and THEY ALL SOLD OUT!!!. Go look it up...I’ll wait. The 991.1 has been the only gt3/rs that has been sold without a manual and guess how those are selling? Guess…
I don’t understand why people like you keep coming on sites about the gt3 and make this same ridiculous statement. That manual take rate bullshit doesn’t apply to the gt3/rs models. EVERY GT3...EVERY ONE....THAT WAS EVER MADE from the 70's till the 997.2 was a manual and THEY ALL SOLD OUT!!!. Go look it up...I’ll…
What do you mean by recent? You must don’t know about the GT3. EVERY GT3 that has ever been made since the 70's up till 2011(997.2) has been a manual ONLY car and....THEY ALL SOLD OUT!!! go look it up...I’ll wait. They stopped the manual in the 991 version which is currently the ONLY version of the GT3/RS that is NOT…
“still” I’m like.. no one caught that?
