Happens all the time. I’m on track with real race car drivers in full on race gt3 class ferrari, lamborghini...etc. Even open cockpit stuff that will go around you like you’re standing still in the middle of a turn. Race teams show up all the time to dial their vehicle in. Started seeing the newer stuff this past

in fact more issues that people have with porsches are because they don’t drive them. You can redline the thing all day. Nothing is worse than just letting your porsche sit.

on 997.1 (non gt3) yes you can push the button on the console to turn it off. And it will stay off until you get into trouble and then it will automatically cut back on to try and save you. I had a 997.1 Carrera S that would do it at the track all the time. If you are driving your car in a way that it’s not

I don’t know about the dry line. It was a left hand sweeper he was on the left side of the track. If you’re a champ then you know about outside in. So he should have been setup on the right side of the straight (in the dry) so he could carry more speed through that left hand sweeper. Since he was more left he looks to

actually more power(as in throttle) would help. That’s how you keep the rear end in check.

Thats not correct. 911 have stabilty, abs and traction control. You can turn them off but only my RS do they stay off (maybe the base gt3 as well). If you have any 911 that’s a non gt3 you can turn of nannies but they will cut back on if you get out of control. I can only speak up till 997.2 but I don’t that was

he eased of the gas. You can hear it.

he eased off the gas for the left handed sweeper causing the weight to shift forward. It’s that instant response you get when you are in the powerband, just easying off causes a engine braking affect. Weight shifts forward, rears get light and this is what happens. I would like to know what car it is specifically. All

at the end of the day it’s all about weight shift. If you are in the meat of the powerband and easy off the pedal the engine braking affect will cause this weight shift forward makeing the rears light. He was coming up on a left hand sweeper which he probably just though “I’ll just easy of the gas a bit to slow down”.

actually they should listen to keep from crashing

The appeal of watching the cars leave is because people want to hear the sound of the engines after seeing them sit quietly in a parking lot.

now you know 3 people. It’s been good for our resale though. That broadening their market comment is exactly why I was excited at first about the fact that the 991 would have a pdk until it became pdk only. I was at a track event and a guy I knew couldn’t make it so his little asian girlfriend brought out the GT3. She

I think its ok given how high strung of a car it is. Hell I don’t go to the track without an inspection in car that cost way less. As soon as I show up the crew switch my tires to hoosiers and inspect things before I go out. I would definitely want that on a car like this when I expect to run it hard as hell at the

better that than wearing the motor out having the wing go in an out constantly varying above and below the speed activation point. I always laugh when I’m at the track and peoples wing are constantly coming in and out. I’m like just hit the fucking button and let it stay out.

I’m with you on this. I can’t stand this notion that cars like the BRZ or Miata are great fun at “slow speeds”. Most speed limits I know of are 30mph. You telling me you can have “fun” in a BRZ or Miata under 30mph? I don’t get it. Maybe 29mph on a seriously twisty road would be fun but you’re not going through gears

I have a 997.2 gt3rs with steel rotors and I run all day and ALL I did to the car was had the car corner balanced to my weight, change the brake pads to pagid RS29s and and an extra set of wheels for hoosiers. When all the others cars like ferrari’s are going into limp mode or overheating It is the Porsches that are

I don’t know if I can trust him if he says a GT3 can’t do what this lotus can. People drive to the track, run laps and then drive straight home in GT3/RS all the time.

not only that but look at the resale when it comes time to sell that 918 vs the z06.

This is a concept that I still struggle with to this day. My racing instructor was telling me to look way out and when I rode with him he was telling me what he was looking at and I was like wow he’s looking at the next corner not the corner he’s about to enter. I will say though that the more I look ahead the less
