Trello has changed how I work

As a 4th grade teacher this is a critical lesson I teach every day. I also teach them what it means to be a gentleman or a lady.

thank you's are more powerful when they're not expected.

Same here. I like my desktop clean. These days 90% of my docs are in eithe Dropbox or Google Drive. I also use Evernote heavily.

I made this jump 2 years ago...from the corporate HR/Recruiting world to teaching. It was a long, and often tough road, but I am so much happier. Now like any job teaching has its rewards and pitfalls and some days I wonder why I made the jump. But then one of my students says or does something that brings it all

No such luck dalsyheadmisle! Might as well leave it messy so folks will think you are a genius!

Hellofax also offers integration with Evernote and since I rarely send faxes anymore it's been my go to app on the few occasions when I did need to send one.

Thanks for reminding me of a tactic I already know works as I used to use it in a former job. Admittedly I've gotten away from it the last few years but gonna try it again. I use Evernote to manage my "to dos" and have a "master to do list" in there. I am going to use Evernote's reminder feature to schedule myself

So glad to see you feature Jamie on here as I have learned a ton from him over the past couple of years that he has been an Evernote Ambassador. He's so open to sharing and really helped me streamline and change how I work.

I consider myself a pretty creative soul and my desk is typically fairly clean...at least it starts the day that way. I am a teacher and throughout the day different things find themselves all over my desk, but one routine I never miss is tidying up my desk at the end of the day. Why? Because it gives me a sense of

The study in the University of Minnesota featured an experiment where respondents with clean desks chose apples over candy bars, and selected more established solutions over new ones. When you're generating ideas and concepts, it could help to have a messier desk. However, when you're trying to be productive, getting

Yes they show alot of white space, but for a resume writing novice they are a good place to start. As a former recruiter I was never too hung up on white space and/or how pretty a resume was if the candidate had the skills I needed for the job I was trying to fill.

I agree...kinda a trivial issue for Lifehacker to tackle. I have several pairs of jeans and sorting through them to find the exact pair I want has never been that stressful of an issue for me...just saying.

Great article...looking forward to hearing more from you on Lifehacker!

Great article! I already use Evernote to organize just about everything in my personal and professional life and these are great tips on how to use it for writing fiction, which is something I aspire to learn to do. While there may be more sophisticated tools for writing out there, as a newbie I think Evernote will

Not getting how this would benefit me in my use of Evernote.

I now use Evernote exclusively for this sort of thing. I can start a note with a half-baked idea and work on it whenever and wherever I get the time and inclination. Sometimes the ideas sit there indefinitely, sometimes they need to "stew" a few months before I'm prepared or interested in further developing or

It is only a waste of time until you have educated them about it. Think about it...15 years ago no one knew what LOL meant either.

My email PET PEEVE...when someone responds to an email just to respond and say something pointless like "Okay". If you don't have something relevant to respond with, than you don't HAVE to respond unless my email specifically asked you to.
