That's great news about having an in-house dev! Can't wait to give this a shot. (Although TBH, I very very rarely go to netflix.com from a computer... But considering how crappy the netQ management is on my set-tops, I might have to start making it a habit)

This is exactly what makes Lifehacker so freaking awesome! Thanks for sharing this great tip!

You'd think you'd at least link back to it. This post acts like it doesn't even exist.

Neat! I'm glad to see someone else using the 'hump-the-ground' method of mattress filling too!

I first fell in love with rotary tools back when my dad got his first dremel as a birthday present (September Birthday). The following month brought Halloween and pumpkin carving, naturally, and needless to say, the dremel was by far the best way to carve intricate designs with minimal effort.

I actually got my invite this morning (was already on the waiting list since bittorrent sync was released) - I just have no one to chat with yet :P

As an IT professional who's built more commercial PCs than I can count (as well as a few high-end machines for some non-commercial clients) I can say, you definitely whine a lot. Not a single point made here has ever been relevant (except for maybe my first few builds ever).

Isn't the Square reader free??? I've got two, didn't pay a dime...

+1 for this. I've been using them for a long time. Never had any issues with bandwidth either.

Never worked for me... all the McDonalds in Orlando charge extra for the 'special sauce' which defeats the purpose.

Or you know, you could try Naked Browser, one I've seen in comments but never mentioned in any LH articles. It's not the most aesthetically pleasing, so if you're going for a Chrome look, then it's not likely going to be up your alley. But if performance is more important, it blows the competition away in all my

You should give 'Naked Browser' a try for Android. What it lacks in aesthetics, it makes up for in performance.

Interesting, I'm going to have to check that one out. Thanks!

Haha yeah, I was thinking that as I was commenting :P

I feel like having more and more extensions definitely does impact speed overall. You might want to try playing with one called Extensity. It adds a little drop down menu that allows you to toggle any of your extensions on/off (rather than having to go to chrome://extensions every time).

I find that disabling ones I

What a pointless comment that was...

I too would be curious to know if you have a good way to find local providers other than filtering through google searches.

That's true. I mean, I know Facebook is in the data mining/sales business. That's exactly why I stopped using the Official FB app and opted to use "tinfoil for facebook" so I didn't have to accept all those intrusive permissions.

Does anyone know if the old security implications have been resolved? (The one allowing FB staff to read text messages, call logs, etc)

I'm with kdutia on the request for how you set that up. Would be very helpful :)
