You mean Root? And yes, it is required.

Oh yeah... Forgot about that feature :P I've only regularly used Motorola droids so far.

You can always use the new Dragon search app for android. It has a setting that allows for activation via voice command "Hi Dragon" allowing for completely touch-free usage.

I rescind the part about not allowing rooted devices... Looks like they have lifted that block from the app. Guess I'll just have to try it out for a while and see how things go :P

It's always good to see another contender jump on the 'instant' streaming bandwagon, but it's kind of depressing how poorly developed their Android app is... Especially the 'no root devices supported' issue.

Guess there's one way to find out...

Negative, I didn't have any already archived email to backup so I can't say for sure if it grabs that. Fortunately the Home version is completely free and super easy to setup/use. I'd say just give it a shot, during the creating of your 'backup set' it prompts you to choose which folders in your mailbox you want to

Wow... Thanks a million for this recommendation! I just downloaded it and tried it out... Connected to our Hosted Exchange 2013 with ease! Going to do my Gmail and personal domains next :)

And your comment is irrelevant. This was about third party search utilities. I'm not a PC user, and a huge fan of Everything. It's instant search indexes are amazing, not to mention the additional capabilities and features offered like HTTP and FTP server options.

Torrents my man, torrents...

Yeah, I've had mine configured this way for some time now. Although I've noticed it's not 100% perfect... There are still 'dropped' MMS messages pretty frequently.

Looks pretty nifty, going to give it a try! Thanks for the recommendation

Thanks for the invite!

I dumped my router for this same reason

Hmm... I vaguely remember reading that it costs less than $20 bucks to charge your iphone for the entire year... huge savings there for sure... :P

Nope. It saves everything to the root of your drive... I'm OCD about organization. Much easier to just save the image to the local machine and designate the desired 'folder' inside my Drive Sync folder. Then it automatically uploads where I want it.
