Slow to start. Whole lot easier to add speed than scrub it!

Or his equipment had an issue... The tractor or the trailer. It can happen and given he did actually use the ramp he may have very well been a skilled driver who’s equipment had a very bad day through no fault of his own.

Or maybe they were dragging and he didnt know, or maybe something else failed.

CaptainSlooooooooooooooooow said he was doing cals on the pass... AKA calibrations. Most likely he works for a truck or engine company and they were running something extra hard to make sure that it saw the worst case scenario. So, yes... he was driving it incorrectly - intentionally.

The guys that operate the Fast Lane Truck channel on Youtube. I grew up on Colorado. Those hills are not to be trifled with. I spent 5 years driving truck and was frequently on I-70. Trucks do not like holding speed on those grades. Gravity is a bitch and will take advantage of inexperience with mountain driving,

While transitioning from one industry to another I picked up my Class A license as insurance since my job hunt was going more slowly than I was comfortable with. I ended up driving for a grand total of 4 days before I got a job offer back in desk land (thank you Lord Pastamonster, I pour out the marinara in your name),

The hero we needed.

I’m really not worried about the entrance to the tunnel...

You’re right to point out that this driver was almost certainly not running the tunnel continuously and the approach is largely uphill. However, in my experience, traffic generally slows and clusters right before and at the beginning of the tunnel. I have no idea why this is, but not once did I not have to apply

Yeah, you can hit 90 on that stretch in a blink if you’re not paying close attention. Lot of steep pavement; little air resistance.

Not many lines to read between. Having worked in the insurance industry many years ago, it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if the following starts happening in the very near future.

Now playing

I remember running across their commercials on Youtube for Ayds:

That was back before heavy traffic when many people couldn’t even afford cars. Now roads are congested and people trapped in traffic do stupid things to pass the time and then continue to do them at all times behind the wheel. Driverless cars can’t come soon enough. I don’t want one but I’ll be glad when people that

That’s truly unfortunate you have to endure that torture every day. Have you attempted to find another job where you don’t have to go through traffic? I’m only saying this because yes, I’ve endured traffic when I was commuting to work. But I found another job which was close to home and it was going in the opposite

Correct. This is a generalization so take this with a grain of salt, but it seems that these days people don’t want to shoulder check when they’re changing lanes so now there’s blindspot monitoring. People don’t want to change gears themselves so now there are almost exclusively automatic transmissions on many models.

Im getting more and more that way.  I have 2 google home’s I got from work as a thank you.  They are still in their boxes.  I’ve been trying to think of a way that they would improve my life and I haven’t come up with anything that is even on the same plain as the cost they excise...and I got them free.

My wife is consistently a passenger in her own car since I tend to drive her car when we go somewhere together. And there are times when I’m the passenger and use her phone to reply to a text or to get map information.

That’s why I only use walkie-talkies and travel cheques.

totally with you. I refuse to buy any of that crap. I buy all the old sonos’ that don’t have “the talk to this appliance because I’m extremely lazy” feature.
