The pinnacle of 911 to me has to be the 993, but that’s based purely on the looks alone. Everything about it is just so tight and purposeful and right. Plus the sound doesn’t hurt, of course.

The man should’ve had more championships than he managed, but honestly can’t blame him. He dethroned what appeared to be the unstoppable combo of Schumacher and Ferrari, that alone is quite the achievement.
There already is a new 6 Series, except it’s now what the 5GT used to be, i.e. a 5 Series in a fat suit.
Damn Torch, I feel exactly the same way about this whole hullabaloo. I reckon we sway things in a way marketers cannot possibly mess things up: If it has 2 doors, we call it a 2-door, if it has 4 doors then it’s a 4-door, so on and so forth.
It gets really murky when comparing Merc and BMW here. The E Class coupe was never really an E Class coupe, it’s just an E Class branded C Class coupe, even back when it was called a CLK. To make things more confusing, we now live in a world where we have both an E Class (really a C Class) coupe, AND a C Class coupe,…
This isn’t the M version of the 8 Series though, it’s an 850i... Sure, it has an M in front of it, but it’s not the full-fat M8. Agreed about the B6GC, that thing is marvelous.
I’m not so sure about that one. There is no more 6 Series (unless you count what in my mind is the pointless new 6 GT), there is only the 8 Series, which I doubt will be any larger than what the 6 was.
That seems somewhat steep? From what little sources I have, the 650i went for between $80000 to $90000, and the 8 Series is a fancier 6 Series of sorts. Sure, the M850i has that M badge that brings all the boys to the yard, but $20000 more seems a bit nuts.
I disagree and agree with your points, disagreement first: Sure, other manufacturers can extract more power from the same displacement, but in different engine layouts. We’re talking about a 3 litre straight-6 engine here, where only Merc currently gets close as far as I’m aware with their…
OK yes, that scene in particular was pretty entertaining. Can’t believe I forgot about that.
Yeah, this was a weird movie. It’s as if they took a script someone wrote for an NFS game that never made it into an actual NFS game, then decided to make a movie out of it.
Oooh, this is a tough one... I guess I’d be happy with any one really, but if I really, really, really had to choose just one, the M3 takes it simply due to the steering wheel and gearlever being in Alcantara. Heck, even the handbrake is in Alcantara.
Oh yes, I’d rather not comment on the Civic’s fake intakes (I really, really, really do not like fake intakes).
Dude, that looks pretty good. Between your version and the original, I reckon this looks way better.
I’d honestly be surprised if that entire grille serves a cooling function. The numberplate has to go somewhere, and I’m guessing it’ll be somewhere in that grille.
No idea if this will work, but what about if they just split that grille horizontally?
No idea if this is going to display, but here’s what I’m trying to get at. Please excuse the horrible quality.
Been thinking about this for a while, but if distortion is as big a concern as drivers stated, I reckon get a less curved windshield at the front and two pillars as demonstrated in Volvo’s SCC concept from a few years back. Don’t fully enclose the cockpit, just have a windshield of some sort that could still do the…
Does look kind of cool. I don’t know though, if ever there were cars that looked good with smoked rear light clusters, it would be the E34 and W124. At least to my mind.
First time I hear of that, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting a modern take of it.
