I feel like a badly broken record, but the police are the fucking enemy. If/when it comes down to it, they will not be on the side of the citizenry they are supposedly sworn to protect and serve. Black folks have known this forever; maybe white folks are starting to catch on.

and then it was butchered in the editing bay after

Stacey Dash.

I think the “clowns are harmless fun” boat sailed with Captain John Wayne Gacy at the helm.

Always relevant.

Seriously. Also, sooooo many people wear glasses. In fact, I sometimes think its actually kind of weird to have naturally good vision.

When they were kids, if one of my sons had needed glasses, my reaction would’ve been more along the lines of, “Well shit I wonder how many times I gonna have to replace these before he gets a full time job of his own.”

Gwen Stefani says it broke her heart for her child to have to wear glasses.

James Garner sued Universal over their “accounting” procedures & eventually won not only back money, but forced a change in procedure. According to Universal, The Rockford Files, a huge hit at the time, never made money, not even in syndication. Besides, Garner and his attorneys didn’t need and weren’t allowed to see

I watched all 50 seasons of Bones, did not learn that.

The initial charge translates to “manslaughter” and has a similar meaning, if I understand right. But that’s kind of a placeholder. It is basically saying “You had some involvement in a death, but we don’t know the details yet.” They may have just gotten this forensic evidence in, but still may need a little time to

If Denmark is anything like the US, there’s a limited number of days that a person can be held in jail before being charged (48-72 hours in the US depending on where you’re arrested), so prosecutors often charge a suspect with whatever will stick at initial stages of the case so that they can go back and amend charges

Maybe she laughed at him?

That would be a baller move.

White people always the first the holler “this is America” and always “forget” this country was stolen from its indigenous peoples and built on the backs of slaves.

OR they could consider that becoming a billionaire on the backs of people that can’t afford to eat in their restaurant is a soulless enterprise and take the hit of their increased but still not sufficient wages without raising their already preposterous prices.

I posted this on another thread, but I think a lot of it bears repeating. The justification for tearing down these statues lies in the reality of the Confederacy and how it began.

Ironically, this new version of the statue is a more accurate representation of the historical Confederacy, at least before the end of Reconstruction.
