the with the ranger had 6.5 and 8 foot beds (I had the 6.5) which gave you a minimum of 8' with the tailgate down. enough to haul 8' lumber with no overhang.

not sure why but I am getting strong “roger rabbit villain” vibes from the lede photo. are we sure she isn’t chucking toons in “The Dip” on the down low?
you are missing the “wagon so I can sleep in the back” and “Manual Transmission” with that option.
probably the 2 doors that he is complaining about
at this particular moment in my life (broken right leg due to motorcycle/degraded pavement/unexpected dead end) 10/10 wife would hoon while I sit in the back seat with infinite legroom.
but $17.5k is a shit ton of money for a “mobility car” that doesn’t enable the mobility impaired person to actually be self mobilized.
so, if you get a ticket for reckless driving, does your insurance still buy out your loan? I mean, that seems like insurance contracts 101 to make sure that only the liability portion pays in a case like that.
no doubt Elio earned their failure (although I think it was more farcical management by chuckleheads rather than any failing of the core product concept. for instance, they should have just licensed an engine from Honda rather than tried to develop their own from scratch which was what led to 2 years of delays). when…
Elio had a factory too, and also several running demo cars. due to astounding mismanagement they failed, but this site was tearing them up long before there were any obvious signs of impending doom, and yet Lucid, which is running several years late at this point gets glowing articles. maybe they will make it, maybe…
at what point do these guys start to get the Elio treatment, or is G/O an investor?
a moped is a whole lot less dangerous to bystanders than a mini-car.
the whole point of this thing is it is a ‘sans-permis’ which means you don’t _need_ a license, so there goes the training angle.
in general Germany has very good and sane driver training laws. you can get a moped @ 14 after some basic training and a…
there are only 6 states that allow someone under 16 to drive without supervision, all very rural states with few, if any, large cities (ID, MT, ND, NM, SC, SD) (ABQ in NM being the largest metro area at ~923K)
many states allow a learner’s permit at some point before 16, true, but that is not the same as turning 14…
the last thing cities like munich, berlin and paris need is thousands of 15 year olds driving these things all over the place, parking on sidewalks, running over pedestrians and getting smashed by busses.
15 year olds should not be operating anything more complicated than their genitals (and only then by themselves in…
a lot of those people who drive into manhattan get subsidized parking and tolls from their employers, and so are entirely cost-insensitive.
the only real answer is to outright ban POVs from manhattan below the park and only allow EV cabs with medallions (because fuck uber), EV busses and and bicycles.
congestion pricing just needs to be a first step to an outright ban on non-resident POVs (which of course would mean actual residents of Manhattan could make bank ghost registering cars for suburban car commuters who just have to drive).
the only things allowed on the streets below ~central park should be EV busses, EV…
Probably a majority of cars these days have welded in blind nuts for installing a hitch and a factory wiring harness connector to attach the pigtail.
I’m sorry, but duck calls on the wastegate sounds like an awesome concept. you should file patent paperwork and then call the duck dynasty guys
pretty much all owner installed/installable mods make almost all cars worse.
fart cans? abomination
cat delete? fuck you you selfish asshole. hope your kids die from asthma.
lower/lift/stance? worse handling, often dangerous.
wing/body kit? laughably stupid looking, non-functional, add weight.
big wheels/rubberband tires?…
spoken like someone who’s perception of his skill is in excess of his actual skill.
I dunno, is that rock damp, or is it.... Moist.
I owned one of these, inherited from my grandma, along with one of the Chevy versions. These are unkillable and comfy highway cruisers, that get a solid 35 mpg @ 72 mph. Easy to get another 70k miles out of this.
