Having driven the Mk7 manual and DSG back-to-back a few times in the last two weeks, I kinda got annoyed with the tall gearing of the manual, especially 2nd gear. It was Caymanesque. I preferred the shorter gearing of the DSG, and if I end up buying one it will likely not be a manual.
