Sorry just saw this question now, I think my OEM replacement was $1500 including labor. Wankels run hotter than a typical piston engine so you can’t just drop in a generic replacement if you want it to last. Not the happiest repair bill I’ve ever gotten.

I always see so much hate for these from people that have never owned one. Mine is at 123k miles and going strong, second owner and the last 70k miles have been my own. Use premium like recommended. Take it to redline early and often. Remember to change the ignition coils. Don’t shut it down cold and flood the engine.
