Bubbles?
Bubbles?
This. Blowing anything in somebody's face, even bubbles, is just playing down to their level. The only way to overcome ignorance is by refusing to validate it and not treating it like an equal but opposite opinion. Literally blowing smoke does not prove a point. Like shouting personal insults, it's a last resort…
Ow god no...I'd choose some bad ass looking wheels (that can also handle mud and whatever nature has to offer). It will be a machine to be used and admired as it is...a beast for the offroad, just hulking the city streets from time to time. :D
The impetus to use the brutal power of the state (which ultimately boils down to thugs with guns) to enforce your ideas, ideals, beliefs and opinions on others is the main reason so many people hate Prius owners (and other in-your-face lefties).
The soccer moms aren't usually 'roided out, with a small man complex, looking for someone to fight.
Probably, I was more referring to mudding tires though. The kind that give excellent off road traction, and are of limited utility on the road.
You obviously do not live in the suburbs, of like anywhere. Do you know anything about offroading? These guys have tiny tires with a 6" lift or higher. The only purpose of a lift is to allow more clearance for taller tires, which they do not even use. There are even other ways to accommodate larger tires without…
Yeah, I'm going to mount a bunch of chainsaws to my dog and let it run around your house. FREEDOM!!!!!
Lifting a truck and putting tires on it not meant for the road is not taking care of it.
I would buy and lift a truck to be able to take me wherever i want. And i'd tour the world with it. Something like 2.5-3.5L diesel engine, extended fuel tanks, a generator.
Most definitely it would see a lot of city streets, but damn, outside the city i'd go where few people have gone before. :D
Exactly. I live in Texas and all throughout my life there have been so many idiots with lifted, huge, shiny trucks that think having them makes them automatically manly or whatever. It's a hazard because the type of people with such trucks drive agressively.
Yeah, I agree with the Civic part.
Yeah, seems fair.
Nah, it's just accurate
Lifted trucks with banging stereos that never see the mud, need to be banned from the road.
I want an air-cooled 911, and I want to master it. High horsepower is vastly overrated on public roads.
Time does march on. But the difference here is speed/time is the result. Just like the solution is the answer in math. However what is being argued is the skill, far too often people think it's the cars (as evidenced by this article). Solving the problem in math is a skill. Driving a car is a skill. What do you…
Ever tried karting? That as close as a connection as you can get with a vehicle. No need for power, electronic aids or else. It offers great thrills for cheap. A kart will reward a good driver and will make the average driver feel like an F1 champion. Should road cars offer that kind of connection with the driver?…
Yes, yes oh my god. There was some of that going around here a while back. Truly moronic and dangerous. ABS these days can pump the fluid back and forth many times a second...it's not literally humanly possible to press the pedal and release fully more than 1 time per second, and that's if you're good. The…
What's scary is how many novices I've seen claim that they can beat ABS. Not many on here, but on smaller club forums it's freaky how many people think a disabled ABS is somehow safer/faster for a car. Even for a race car. Unless you're very well disciplined and trained, you are much more likely to panic-react than…
