My theory is that all cool people get churched as a child in some way. You need it for comparison as you get older, so you don’t fall into the born-again pit of ignorance.
I’m also floating a theory that she’s not a real camera person but a police plant. But then, authorities never need help to persecute other people - there’s always some willing to step in on their own.
I think it’s usually easier to be a dick, and harder to have compassion. I also think that the woman in question isn’t weighing up any of this philosophy in her head. She just hates foreigners. Or wants an interview. Or something.
