I have to wonder how many cool logos Fairey presented that they didn’t like before he just went “Fine,” and designed a middle-of-the-road, unspectacular logo that they loved.

This wasn’t even at an event or anything just her walking around doing whatever.

Yeah, exactly. It would have been so much easier to have taken that route to explain it; that it was kind of like Rashomon in that we were seeing it from Cliff’s point of view, so even though it may have happened, his memory skewed it to portray Lee a certain way. And anyway, this movie shows the Manson Family going

Shit.  You win.

I dunno, unless you’ve seen more episodes of Loki than the three I have, I’m getting the distinct feeling that the Timekeepers are going to be revealed as neither as benevolent nor as powerful as they’re made out to be. Loki’s initial reaction of “This is all an illusion” may not be totally correct, but I think the

That’s true, but it’s also more of “a thing” than it was 15 or 20 years ago.  Now get off my lawn

David Harbor singing “Chicken pot, chicken pot, chicken pot pie!”

Yeah, and didn’t they steal it for a Gears of War commercial?

Yeah, I know, I know.  But it is much more prevalent than it used to be, and that I blame on these movies.

So Red One is not a retelling of the events leading up to the Battle of Yavin from the perspective of Garven Dreis?  Bummer.

That photo triggered my poison ivy phobia.

Now that’s a great idea. I used to spend hours at Lileks.com browsing the Gallery of Regrettable Food. I’m sure there are some contenders there.

Man, fuck all these movies.  They’re the reason I’ve got to listen to idiots racing their Dodge Chargers and Camaros and Mustangs on the highway all goddamn night.

My assumption is that although they have advanced technology, and they may use that technology in conjunction with “magic,” the energy that Odin and the Asgardians tap into to power it all is the same dark energy that powers Dr. Strange’s sorcery.

I assumed it was Sylvie, because obviously her power set is different from Loki’s. And although she’s mostly seen using the enchantment to control people, her powers also seem to be more kinetic than Loki’s, such as when she screamed and the power surge cratered the ground.  That seems like maybe she could use

Now playing

I was a viewer of Late Night With Conan O’Brien from his first episode, and man was he ever awkward and uncomfortable. And he was awkward and uncomfortable for a looong time. It was great when he finally settled into a groove. Up until then, I remember thinking, “When is he ever going to settle in and get relaxed

Hey, Brewster McCloud is cool!  Alright, common ground, we cool.

Ooh, you’re so cool, Brewster! I wouldn’t call myself a “Zep fan” by any means, and I spent a good deal of time in my youth listening to Screeching Weasel (and the Queers, Riverdales, et al.). I was more of a My Brain Hurts and Anthem for a New Tomorrow listener, though, and never liked Boogadaboogadaboogada very

Laugh away.  Obviously you’re easily entertained.

Oh yeah, like Screeching Weasel is the apex of quality and originality.
