It’s true! It’s true! We’re so lame!

Or how about we just have Michael Peña as Luis summarize it?

One thing I’ve noticed about Republicans and right-wingers is that they believe they (meaning them personally) should be entitled to all the free shit the government can dish out, because, hey, they’re good people, and that basically no one else should be, black and brown people especially.

It depends, are you “one of the good ones”?

It’s a stereotype, not a myth, for the reason you mentioned, but obviously the author couldn’t resist the alliteration.

The audiobook is read by John Moschitta.

“Look at me.  Look at me.  I’m the bus driver now.”

Coogan Name Meaning. Irish: Anglicized form of Gaelic Mac Cogadháin ‘son of Cogadhán’, a diminutive from a reduced form of the personal name Cúchogaidh, meaning’hound of war’.

Way to go, Keith Coogan’s parents and some Irish people hundreds of years ago!

I always liked Keith Coogan back in the day, and was never sure what happened to him.  I didn’t realize that this movie had a big cult following, though.  He might as well milk it for whatever it’s worth.

He’s had more than two “good” roles (The Wedding Singer, Meyerowitz Stories, and Funny People come to mind); his crimes are merely in choosing to be in cheap, junky comedies for an easy paycheck and a paid vacation. He’s usually as good as or better than the script needs him to be. Bedtime Stories, for instance.

How can it be permissible?  They compromise their principles.

Someone may not want to listen to a foreign language film for 2 hours and subtitles interfere with the visuals.

Naturally the anti-subtitle guy is also one of those dipshits who make every sentence a separate goddamn paragraph. Opinion ignored, with extreme prejudice.

On my phone using Chrome it doesn’t even load as a slideshow, it’s just a continuous page that just loads and loads and loads until you get to the bottom, and if there are enough entries, it will crash before I can get to the comments section. Thankfully, Hulu has a fairly pathetic selection of movies. I mean, Hitch?

There literally is an episode of Designing Women where Delta Burke wears blackface to perform “Love is Strange” with Meshach Taylor. To the show’s credit, everyone else is mortified, and it is made very clear that what she did was wrong.

D’Elia, meanwhile, has denied the allegations against him, claiming in a statement that he has “never knowingly pursued any underage women at any point.” Right.

I’ve had a copy of The Foundation Trilogy for a while now, just never have gotten around to reading it. As a not particularly big SF devotee (I get in moods where that’s all I want to read, but then just as quickly get out of it), should I take the plunge? I’ve heard people say that it’s “boring” or “nothing

Excelsior!
