I’ve never seen it, but wasn’t there an adaptation starring Anthony Quinn?

I agree that the hard g is correct, but I still catch myself pronouncing GIF as “jif” every now and then, because I’ve heard it pronounced that way and it’s stuck in my brain. Strangely, though, it just occurred to me that I always pronounce Giphy as “giffy” (hard G), and it has never occurred me to pronounce it as

Looks like guano.

The Last Thing He Wanted

Oh no you Didion!

I’ve heard of Drew Carey; I’ve never heard of Amie Harwick until now, so the headline is unfortunate but understandable.

I’m trying to imagine a world in which anyone actually “loved” this thing. Even my kids (5 and 9, neither being very particular about the entertainment they ingest, at all) were like “Eh...”

Aren’t they, though?  Assholes!

I took my kids to see it this weekend, and my overall impression was “exceedingly mediocre.” This movie has a ton of problems beside the central character being annoying and weird looking. Mallrats is better than Clerks.  Hell, Clerks 2 is better than Clerks, or at least funnier.

I really haven’t had time to watch any episodes yet, but is the show as unfunny as the previews suggest? None of the TV spots has gotten so much as a chuckle out of me, and that doesn’t bode well because Veep previews would often have me in stitches.

And you can bet that he’s hung like blue-nosed mule.

I put my spin on it.

Yes, you have to pay for his extended hospital stay.

Don’t be silly, they couldn’t afford that!

Confusing news, I was expecting to see Dick Van Dyke put on a red codpiece and perform “Word Up.”

I didn’t look that good at 94 months.

This just in, cast of Star Wars hates spaceships, robots, and guns that go “pew pew pew”.

I know Jackie Chan said “Helmet? This is an incense pot!” but I heard “Instant Pot.”
