Hahaha yeah, what happened was that within two years it went from being a $15,000 car to a $50,000 car.
Generally speaking, mileage doesn’t factor very heavily into collector car condition ratings, provided that the car doesn’t show the mileage and is mechanically sorted. There’s no arbitrary rule anyway.
No, that’s not what the Hagerty values are for. They reflect current market prices for collector cars.
Yep, this is just where the market is for these things now. Shoulda bought one a year or two ago.
I get what you’re saying, but it’s not necessarily about opening up all the rules and building unlimited cars for balls-out power (though that would be cool), as much as it is making smarter rules.
There is no problem with innovation. There is a problem with ass-backwards and counterintuitive regulations.
I read somewhere that Gawker employs like 300 people, so you're 301 on the list.
Other than Patrick George being the asshat (he's like tenth in line for that title), everything else is damn accurate.
Yup. It’s a design triumph for sure.
The point of differentiation will be that it offers even worse build quality in exchange for an unrecognizable brand name.
You people are fucking idiots. You wonder why everyone laughs at feminists.
I never said anything about intelligence, I said naive. Big difference.
Consider the Model 3 if you don’t mind waiting five years for it.
This isn’t politically correct, but people from third world countries — particularly around southeast Asia and India — are almost hopelessly naive when it comes to this kind of thing. There are a lot of factors at play, but that’s the reality.
Why?
Nobody said it, but that’s the logical conclusion of public transportation advocacy. And it is, in fact, the goal of the statists who advocate public transportation under the pretense of safety or the environment or any of the other nonsense rationales they present to conceal their ultimate motive of total control.
With American ingenuity and can-do spirit, that’s how.
I’m not even a huge 911 fan but I would give my pinky toe for a Singer 911.
This is a great story.
