Not to mention, in some cases (such as R. Kelly over a decade ago) comedians are the only ones actually talking about whatever subject it is they are covering. In other cases, a comedian taking the fundamentals of a subject to their extreme helps ‘ordinary’ people re-frame their understanding of it.
