Kind of like the Model A signaled the end of privately owned horses? No matter what happens, people who want personal vehicles will still be able to own them, but there will be challenges in fueling them, keeping them maintained, and eventually, driving them at all.

Definitely NOT looking to defend Trump here, but if it’s true he paid for this out of his pocket, it is kind of, sort of, endearing in a ‘normal response to stimuli’ kind of way. A bunch of college kids are suddenly in the building, go get cheeseburgers... my sister-in-law might do the same thing if her kids and their

At least there’s still some trade value in Moncada (if they move him before spring training) and even if they don’t get Machado/Harper, they’re still adding Eloy Jimenez, who is an absolutely phenomenal hitter.  Hahn completely pantsed Theo on that deal.

There’s an offline mode where they can learn to do that stuff! That said...anymore, I prefer the boneheaded AI to boneheaded humans.  At least when the AI throws a fit, it has the decency to park in a corner or something.

They’re just really, really appreciate that Phoenix gave them Alexei Zhamnov.

I figured the Yankees weren’t REALLY in on Machado/Harper because they need to sign their existing kids AND give Trout a swimming pool full of doubloons.

Actually it is.  You should read the back of a ticket some time.

I am sure if she methodically drank her way into screeching, nobody would say a thing.  Showing up and doing THAT seconds after tipoff, it reeks of homeschooling or something.

When I was in second grade, one of the teachers at school had a Kammback, and I thought it was the coolest thing.  I have never seen one again, anywhere.  I thought maybe I was misremembering but apparently they are rarish.

We need more movies where the protagonist is a stereotypical authority figure of some import, but finds themselves in an unexpected situation where the social construct of their authority is less relevant than it would have been had they not found themselves in the aforementioned situation.

I don’t think Reinsdorf is “cheap” per se (or else Jose Abreu and Luis Robert would be elsewhere) but it does always seem like they are overpaying for replacement level players at the expense of the decent players.  SEEMS.

Amazing that the states with the worst roads have some of the highest gas taxes meant, ostensibly, to maintain the roads. Indiana even sold (technically leased) their toll road for billions of dollars and... has the second-or-third worst roads in the country.

This makes sense to me, but I think if they marketed it as a Japanese Rolls-Royce, they could pull it off. I think they could just call it Century and sell through Lexus dealers in the US.

Maybe skewed by the fact that baseball has the most downtime of any major sport, so the players are more likely to make this sort of an interaction a daily activity.

File under “if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say it at all.”

Now just spin them around 180 and maybe people will park a little more cautiously.

So what are people supposed to do, spend the next 3 months on suicide watch?

I went with my 8yo and while *I* knew what was going to happen, he didn’t. I found myself splitting eyes between what was happening on screen and his reaction to it. His jaw-drop and gasp were worth every penny.

That said, he leaned in fairly early in the movie and told me I need to stop taking him to movies where

Not that I am making excuses, but he was already on the way back down the mountain when this came out, and that slide continues if you are working or not. If he waited too long, he’d have been in Roseanne Barr territory.

Any comedian will tell you, nobody works harder than comedy club waitresses.
