It’s almost like they doubled-down on the hatred.
It’s almost like they doubled-down on the hatred.
You know...
I just hate the thought of Tom having to grovel to this guy to put money into a building we already own.
There is an intersection here in the middle of nowhere with two gas stations across the street from each other; one is a Pilot with a Subway in it. The other is a Speedway with a Subway in it. The Pilot is better because they accept Pilot Rewards and you can take a shower in it if you so choose.
Eh, this team wasn’t getting anywhere near the playoffs - there’s a very real chance that the Bears will enter 1/1/19 with more victories on the season than the Blackhawks. I would rather Crawford retire than try to miracle this team out of a lottery pick.
I like how they accuse you of writing for a leftist blog and close with telling you to start a leftist blog.
Damn. I am both mildly repulsive and naked. I’m never going to get there.
How can you be a courier, and get off an airplane without the thing you are courier-ing? How dull-witted can someone be?
My 8yo and I were flipping through channels, and I land on some Christmas show hosted by Steve Harvey; there’s a kid playing violin like crazy, and she’s obviously very talented. My 8yo, sensing the relative achievement deficit between this child on TV and himself, holds up a Christmas present he had wrapped for his…

It’s interesting that in THIS case the candidate has to be ‘qualified’ but there are at least a dozen pro sports franchises whose current ownership’s only qualification was being born to the right people.

Baines: tied for 351st all time in WAR amongst position players, along with Juan Gonzalez and Magglio Ordonez, both of whom have a stronger claim on a spot in the HoF but what are you going to do.
I still think Lee Smith belongs in the HoF, but knowing LaRussa and Reinsdorf are on the selection committee makes me wonder even more about Baines. I liked Baines, and appreciate what he did in his career, but if a guy was going to squeak in only to have the reaction be so vehemently opposed that they slam the door…
Based on my only ever watching Miami when they play the Bears/Colts/Lions, I just assumed the Dolphins were undefeated at home, perpetually.
That play should settle that nagging feeling everyone gets that the Patriots are spying on other teams’ practices.
What was utterly dumb about that is the refs still would have had to have given the defense time to substitute.
Maybe this is the Baseball Hall of Fame leaning towards actually representing the depth of their sport and therefore worth visiting, like the Hockey Hall of Fame.
People are entitled to be wistful that the glorious memories of Lloyd Waner and Stanley Coveleski are being tainted by the Lee Smith’s of the world, but…
The funny thing about Baines election to the HoF is that it is justified by how un-HoF most of his numbers actually are. No auto-elect stats like 500 HR or 3000 hits, not a huge metrics guy, not voted-in because his defense was elite, not a wizard on the basepaths, not disproportionately well-thought-of because of a…
That's awesome.
