Dang. Was kind of hoping to find Road Rash on that list.

I’m so confused. If I stop watching football, how will the NFL know it’s because I don’t like watching people kill themselves, and not because I don’t like seeing people exercise their constitutional rights?
I would swear on a stack of bibles that injuries from cheap shots and regular-game contact were far less common in the NHL when players had no helmets and used wooden sticks. People’s knees, wrists and backs would be what did them in; now we see people getting their heads torn off because everybody’s a missile.
The ball is 8 feet behind Wieters by the time the follow-through tags him. It’s not like the swing caused Wieters to missplay the ball. The way he was crowding the plate, he did not deserve a charitable interpretation of the rules.
Bean farmer done what? Climbed onto a fucking tractor and sat in an air conditioned cab for 6 hours a day, burbling along listening to AM radio reminding them how great they are every 8 minutes? While a temporarily-convenient glut of illegals does all the actual hard work that “the hard-working American farmer” gets…
No, no. It got people talking about the actual issue he was protesting, for about 8 seconds. All this “respect the flag” bullshit is the result of thousands of amoral people making it their full-time job to steer the narrative away from what it really was about: to get someone, anyone, to think for a second about the…
Hahaha, unarmed bean farmers.
Well duh, they’re kneeling because they don’t respect the troops. Do you not have cable at your house?
Ozzie Guillen. He the hero Boston deserve.
Exactly this. Dusty’s not a COMPLETE idiot. He knows that if he throws a wet paper bag at the media, they’ll find the turd inside. And that turd is Steven “we’re shutting him down for the future” Strasburg.
Nah, we’ll be in for a winter of hearing about how Stephen Strasburg is a fragile flower who let his team down when it needed him most.
Cutler’s “rep” as a better-than-average QB was kind of a meta-narrative that didn’t match his overall results. Every once in a while he would make a throw that 30 or 31 other QBs simply could not, but that was offset by the majority of his throws being the variety that 30 or 31 QBs simply would not.
That’s the thing, though: we instinctively want to excoriate people for enabling the guy, but what if we actually owe them a debt for their heroic service in preventing any number of administrative tragedies? What if we are only seeing what leaks around the gaskets?
Just had to chase it down.
Everyone has “their” SNL window, and everything that went before and came after it was complete dogshit.
Seemed kind of softball to me; the ending seemed tacked on as well. Pretty sure someone at Safelite vetted this before it got out.
Set aside “why” - how do you even GET a mlb.com shirt? There’s 509 pages of men’s apparel on their website, and not one bit of it is “mlb.com” themed.
I hear your pleas, and should you wish to avail yourself, I would happily share my vast reserves of Septum sauce.
Those pyjamas, tho
