More likely those enemies are cursing an opportunity missed. Barring catastrophic indifference, it’ll be years before this sort of thing can happen again.

Don’t forget, they have another serviceable catcher down in AAA, not much of a bat on him but he is a warm body that can get behind the plate and occasionally bat leadoff. Name of Karl Schumer or something.

Maybe it’s one of the youngest teams in baseball collectively struggling in a league where the difference between a hero and a bum is a fraction of a percentage point. Or in the case of Schwarber, an order of magnitude.

He was bitching in the WS game 7 post-game interviews. I couldn’t believe it, his team just won the World Series, everyone else is throwing champagne around, and here he was complaining about how they won it.

Don’t you and your son have an old man to beat up?

He should have changed his name to Zander Mogilny, he’d have been a 1st ballot HoFer.

Depends how that sewer main is situated. They can’t just lower it right there, it’d create a literal P trap; they might have to dig up/replace sewer for MILES to make up the change in pitch.

If CuJo is in the HoF, then there’s room for that miserable prick, Osgood. Guy was the starting goalie for two Stanley Cup champions, and when given the same team behind him, Joseph couldn’t seal the deal. (Not his fault, but, still.)

In November, his $20,000 collection of cards was stolen from his car and never returned

My opinion, but the Hjalmarsson trade is a bigger story than swapping Saad for Panarin. I love Hjalmarsson, and a lot of what’s good about his game doesn’t appear on stat sheets, but the dude wouldn’t throw a hit to save his soul. That, and anytime he ever made a mistake, he’d compound it by committing a penalty

“With the 26th pick of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, the Chicago Blackhawks select... a pallet of Gold Bond medicated skin powder.”

“Hello Seattle, I’m listening.”

I don’t agree with the guy, but “genetic dead end” is kind of the province of the other side of this argument.

I would argue that .224 this deep in the season, having not seen live pitching in years, proves he deserved the shot. The question is, if he doesn’t bring that up some by the end of the year, would he deserve another season?

I was prepared to read the ravings of an entitled lunatic, but instead found the man to be functionally eloquent, his arguments well-thought-out, and his approach rational.

“Go away Tyler Arnason, we’ve got an NHL-caliber roster now!”

I don’t think the South Atlantic League is big enough for both Bellinger and Tebow.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’ll be baseball or hockey; they draw from a wider footprint, geographically, than football and basketball, so the ‘current norm’ is influenced by a more diverse set of cultures.

Do you see that light tower in the image in the OP? Earlier in the contest, Cubs prospect Eloy Jimenez hit one over that, then, hit one through it.
