Yep, everyone has to do either two or thee years there, apart from religious exemptions. I'm against drafts in general, but being in the situation Israel is it's a necessary evil I suppose, but if there is one I kind of respect that it's not based on gender and everyone gets the same training.
And what would the Israeli death toll be if they didn't have the iron dome or bomb shelters in most public buildings? I'm not trying to minimize the tragic deaths of non combatants and children, but just playing the number of deaths card isn't looking at the whole thing.

So, what's with the whole Nintendo people staring at fruit thing? Is it just like an easter egg/meme they are trying to make?
I'm sure it won't be as powerful, but I'm more interested in how big the gap will be. It will be nothing like the Wii-PS360, I don't think, and Sony definatley won't shoot themselves in the foot with a console that costs 800 to manufacture at launch again. MS and Sonys offerings will be more reasonably specced and…
For games, but fine for saves, videos, photos, etc.
I was wondering about the controller screen thing, so it looks like you can't turn it off to extend the battery life then. Can you adjust the brightness? If not does it adjust automatically with an ambient light sensor? If not does it stay the same no matter what, ie blindingly bright at night?
I'm going to go ahead and sign onto the conspiracy theory that the 8GB package is only there to make the 32GB package look like a good value. 3GB free space, sheesh.
It seems that way, they traded things that people can clearly see visually for an easy marketing bullet point. I'd rather around 300PPI with good color calibration and a nearly full gamut than some insane PPI with poor calibration. It's like the new MHz race, trading real benefits for marketing.
Could you explain why this is brilliant to me? It seems to be passing over my head. It's just like Skype without video, isn't it? Skype can do calls without video too, and it's cross platform.
"(or using Skype or FaceTime without the Face so I guess EarTime) but completely free for BBM users."
I don't think mine was even that early, we had a Windows 3.1 computer (aw yeah, Wolfenstein and Lemmings) but it had no internet, had that up until we got a Bondi Blue iMac, that was my first internet experience, that would have been what, 1999?
Back in the 90s people used to turn things off to save electricity. It was a horrible time.
Seems like the MHz race all over again to me, sacrifice everything else for an easy marketing bullet point. Now to see how that 440PPI affects battery life and GPU rendering fluidity.
...No, a lower screen resolution wouldn't magically make the same GPU perform worse, they could use the same SoC for a different display. If the GPU was the same it would perform the same for external outputs, period. An Adreno 320 for example is an Adreno 320 connected to any resolution display.
How would the internal resolution of the phone affect the same GPU outputting to a different screen? That makes no sense.
Not what I was saying, see my conversation with the other guy. I meant if the screen was 720p or so, there would be downscaling artifacts with playing 1080p video, but they would be so small it wouldn't make much difference.
Who are you talking about? I know the display doesn't know it's 5 inches, that's irrelevant to my point, if it was say a 720p screen and you were playing a 1080p file on it, there would be some downscaling artifacts, but the screen size matters to human perception of it, the scaling artifacts would only be apparent…
"Downscaling artifacts? What? "
