It looks like the show is doing a good job preserving some important cast diversity directly in the books. Like one of the plot points is that almost everyone from the Two Rivers and their part of the woods is dark skinned, excepting Rand.

I’m guessing the color shifting cloak, if it’s even included, will make minimal appearances and might be like the LoTR Elven cloaks where they just look normal until they’re pretending to be a rock or something.
