Forgot to say - many of the economic migrants now know that they will not get asylum and try to get somewhere and work in the black market. Not only illegal, but also leaves them open to massive exploitation, even slavery.

I guess what I was getting at is that the figures you mention for the success of claims indicates the genuine refugees - they stop and claim asylum if the country is reasonable, so those ‘front line’ countries are getting overwhelmed. Sadly no, that was a separate incident. The ones in Austria were found because liquid from the decomposing bodies started to drip out the back of the truck. Grim. True.
Interesting to hear your views and while I would not disagree with too much you say, the references to Spain and Italy were because they have massive influxes of migrants ongoing from Libya; and Greece has the influx from Turkey. While Libya and to some extent Turkey have their own problems, both are just staging…
The situation is even more complex than you make out, majority are not refugees but economic migrants from many countries. Genuine refugees do not need to do this stuff.

Actually they were loaded into a secondhand truck by traffickers who drove them into Austria and left them to die at the side of the road, no strong arming involved in that case. Example of how everyone apart from the traffickers can be basically a victim.
