It has the exotic look and feel you want, is the most fun to drive car you can get at almost any price, sounds amazing and can be had in great condition for your budget. That generation has proven to be very reliable, the maintenance is minimal…

Don’t just go for exotic, go for supercar. Go for wall poster levels of supercar, the third element in the holy trinity of 1980s eye candy, the Lotus Esprit.

There’s always the Jaguar F-Type. I saw a 2015 year model (supercharged V6, RWD) for sale in the DC area right around your budget. I know someone who has one and loves it as his daily driver as well as his fun car.

Don’t give up that easily, there’s plenty of Vipers out there for $35K, and if you’re moving on to something else in 3 years, it’s unlikely you’ll lose anything in depreciation either.

He was wrong, ice 376hp, electric is 220hp for total of 425hp. Not sure on tq numbers, but would assume pretty generous as these are not light cars.

This is what Cadillac should be. RWD, powerful, long and big enough to fit a 400 pound meatball in the backseat. But, hey I’m not a bean-counter/ designer.
