Canada didn’t participate in this round because they were in full agreement with the US on the subject matter of these particular talks. They simply passed on dealing with Mexico to the US. “Canada hasn’t shown up in weeks” is incorrect both in the article and this comment.

He does use them though. He’s strong enough to drive off the lesser wraiths to cover the retreat with the wounded at Minas Tirith. He’s doubtful about being able to kill the Witchking though, and Eowyn and Merry have to handle it instead.

I do give Tolkien some credit in that he wasn’t too reticent about admitting some of the logical shortcomings of LotR, and the corners he wrote himself into. At least in letters to friends. I mean, he always had an explanation for why so many of the ultra-powerful characters he introduced wouldn’t just win the day

As a fellow owner of an E39 M5, you need to check yourself. The M5 is godly compared to the Miata. There is no way it’s less intoxicating than the Miata, even in the twisties. The Miata is a ballet dancer to the M5's brutality, there is no competition here. You are literally the first person who has described the

The 167hp in my NC Miata is more intoxicating than the 400hp in my E39 M5, even in a straight line. 181 in an RF is plenty.

You could keep waiting for an S2K, or you could buy an ND. And the ND’s performance is pretty close to the S2K’s, if the test numbers are to be believed.

RIP in peace.

I’ll be that guy.  Maybe should have bought the NA.

I was all for the S5 in the article, and the ATS in the comments, but THIS is the right answer.

I even hate the GT-R, and I’ll acknowledge that this is the correct answer.

Crap interior, crap transmission, crap suspension tuning, and the worst infotainment I've ever had the displeasure of using. It felt like a RWD "Altima Plus" with decent power.

Funny, you misspelled “4 series.”

Even on the stock 4x4 suspension?

Only issue is that it has a lower ride height than the 300ZX.

Right! I would flip if I saw an older lady driving a GT-R. I’ve been in one, there is a decent amount of room inside, and it basically drives itself if you want it to (from a performance standpoint) so it’s not a handful as a daily driver. Plus it’s AWD so it’s all-season performance.

Exception that proves the rule. He’s 74. He’s a professional with a lifetime’s reflexes to draw upon. But at some point even he will be too old to drive safely on public roads. I will, you will, everyone will.

my god, this is absolutely the right take. It’s a bit bigger, a lot meaner, and she can afford it. You wanna be the cool old lady with the baddass coupe that is also actually somewhat more practical than your old 300zx? GT-R.

Nice. That would be quite a retort to all of the commenters suggesting mobility scooters.

If only someone made a “normal” (i.e. not hideously expensive) version of this...

Your mom may be the best 79 year old driver on the planet, but her reflexes and awareness are still going to be reduced. I live in an area with a large number of seniors driving large barges that routinely reverse into cars or people. Opt for a car with good safety options, like backup cameras or sensors,

Correct answer is no car at all. At almost 80 it’s a sign from God that it’s time for her to hang up the keys before she drives into a Walmart and tries to blame the other guy for that too.
